It’s C-C-c-Cold in h-h-here!!
Yep. It’s cold…even too cold for me. The high today was 18 frigid degrees. Right now it is 9 degrees. Brrrr! The kids say they are warm, but I am freezing! My hands feel like ice cubes.
Saturday morning I went to Wal-mart to buy mulch for my dog. He is a HUGE siberian husky. Even though cold weather is his kind of weather, 6 degrees is really cold. So I went to buy mulch for him to lay in to keep him warm. I also needed to buy an organizer/ agenda. I already had one but, I got it at the dollar tree. It’s paperback and too large to carry in my purse. Wal-mart had none that I liked. I wanted one with the months “at-a-glance” but most didn’t have that feature and if they did the boxes were so small I could not write in them. I was getting irritated. That’s when I noticed this awesome journal. Rich, deep, brown, bonded leather. Magnetic snap clasp. Gold pages. Beautiful. I thought…”I can make this my own.” I bought it for over $12.00. I loved it. Beautiful books hold my fascination.. I love holding it, touching it. I find myself constantly rubbing it. I love the feel of a beautiful book in my hands.
So I get home with my treasure. I copy some pages out of my paperback agenda. I copied the month of January. Out of last years agenda I copy the “year-at-a-glance” for 2008 along with a few other pages that might come in handy. I copied them with my printer on 75%. The fit perfectly in my journalook pages and I glued them in. I have the January month at a glance page glued in and the pages after I can us for lists, journaling when I can’t get here, for recording my weights, whatever I want. It works well. I am happy. I’ll stop boring you with the details now.
This weekend was interesting. Yesterday I worked out for 30 minutes. I did the WATP video. It is super boring. The workout was 45 minutes. I couldn’t take it anymore. Even running it I was about to go crazy. So I will just have to suck it up and run in the cold from now on. I saw a guy running today. Man, he IS dedicated.
Food yesterday wasn’t so bad. I ate out, which was not good, but Ii didn’t do too bad. Today food has been Awful with a capitol A! I didn’t have a chance to work out either, since I was shopping all day.
I got my W2 yesterday and rushed to H&R block and got my return. Man, I love instant gratification! I bought some movies, the kids some movies and games. Then today I went and bought me some new clothes. Everything I got was on sale. I looked for new running shoes but I didn’t like any that they had. I also bought new sexy panties and bras, as well as some sensible bras, a sports bra, and new socks. I am addicted to the sweat wicking kind. I can’t stand to wear the regular kind now. I went to Lowe’s and bought new shelves for the boys room. I bought a cubby shelf with big, colorful canvas baskets for the boys to use and I am ditching their dresser. It’s the cheap kind and the bottoms of the drawers keep falling out. Plus, they don’t put anything IN their drawers they just shove it in til it’s all sticking out the top. Hopefully, this will help with the clutter problem in their room. I did this in the younger 2’s room and it works out alot better than a dresser.
Tomorrow I am gonna try to run. It will still be cold…in the mid-30’s but much better than 9 degrees. I am off work thanks to the holiday. I will spend my day working on homework and stuff for work. Oh! And doing laundry! :(

I also recently bought a planner that I love! I’ve also found that if I pre-schedule my workouts, I am more likely to stick to them since they are in there and I have to check them off once their done. It can be a great motivating tool!
Take it easy missy tomorrow on the frigid run - ease into it ok? Make sure you’re poppin your vitamin C so you don’t get a chill….
You got a lot done with your return
I love the new planner - it sounds dreamy. I bought a 6.00 FAR SIDE desk planner for my desk at work last week! I put my appointments in that one on my desk and then I carry around a Little Prince (japanese) tiny plastic planner in my purse for my personal appointments. It helps to be organized! I just put up my WildFlowers calendar to track my weight and now ‘points’ deal (for as long as that lasts)….
xoxoxoxo sweetpea!
The shopping sounds wonderful. I loved your organizer too. Maybe I should get one like that too. I normally just jot down my to-dos in a notebook at work. I too love good looking books with lovely paper. The one at my work has a black cover and has very nice papers.
Lots of love,
iniya
Man, and I thoguht it was cold down here! Ya’ll have it freezing up there, yikes! I’m glad you had fun shopping
