Chasing away Chubby

Puny workout

Tonight this is the itty, bitty, workout I did while watching the biggest loser.

Upper body strength training with 5 pound weights

bicep curls     50   set of 2

Tricep ext.    15    set of 2

cross punch   50   set of 2

Jump rope 1 minute     set of 2

boys push up      1   Yay!  First one in years!

I ran 3.4 miles yesterday.  It was such a beautiful day.  It was 70 degrees here and I went to the park and ran.  I ran slow.  My body just wasn’t wanting to run fast yesterday.  It took me about an hour to run that and then walk a short cool down.  But that was okay.  I was just happy to be at it again.  So that makes 2 runs this week so far!  YAY!!

I went back to my 2 meals a day.  I just wasn’t losing weight eating like a cow…DUH!  So today was my first day back on the 2 meal deal.   I stuck to it…no snacking.  So i will continue on from here and make sure that I do what I am suppose to.  I wanna lose this weight.  I REALLY wanna lose this weight.  It all comes down to how bad do I want it.  If I want it, I will do what I have to to get it.

A cold front is moving in and thus our spring-like weather will go away.  Ahead of the front is strong storms.  We just got a tornado watch, the first of the year…it’s not over until 4:00 AM.  I guess I won’t be getting much sleep tonight!

Update:  It is times like these that I REALLY hate living in a rectangular metal box on the highest hill around.   The storms have hit.  We have a “high wind warning” in effect in addition to the tornado watch.  No KIDDING.  We are suppose to have wind gusts up to 60 MPH.  The wind is blowing so hard, that my walls are literally shaking.  You can actually see them move. My computer screen was moving earlier. Thankfully the kids are sleeping through it, so I am the only one awake and scared.  So much for being the brave, strong, single, woman.  I usually marvel at the fury of nature (remember…I am the crazy one who sits outside and watches storms) and tomorrow I am sure I will think that this was pretty damn cool, but all that depends on my big metal box not blowing off the top of the blasted hill!!!

I’ll let you know tomorrow if my box made it through the night!     ;)

  1. Please keep us dated on your BOX. LMAO! Never heard it called that before. We’ve lived in one of those boxes before too. I know how it is.

    WTG on your run yesterday and your workout today was not puny. I wish I could get my butt to get up and move like that. Ive been in a slump FOREVER!

  3. Good job on the 3.4 miles. Sounds like it was a nice calm run.

    Please let us know if you’re ok! The weather got pretty bad here last night too.
