Oh Hell! Why did I think this would be a good idea?
600 minutes/ 120 down/ 480 to go!
Okay someone explain to me why ON EARTH, I felt it was necessary to challenge myself for 2 hours worth of workout, EVERDAY…For the next FIVE days?!? Have I lost my mind?
So I thought I would give the workout I found on www.coolrunning.com a try. (Thanks Leeda!) I have been running/walking for a few weeks now, so I decided to do the workout where you run 90 seconds and walk 90 seconds…easy enough, right? Well my head was definitely in the game. My heart was definitely in the game, but my shins and ankles…No way! They were not having it! I would run my 90 seconds and then spend the next 90 walking and trying to stretch the tightness out of my ankles and shins. I did that a few times then switched to running 60 and walking 120, The thing is after 30 seconds my body (with the painful exception of my ankles and shins, who were in full fledged mutiny!) was ready to go again. This is a great opportunity to point out that my cardiovascular abilities have gotten better…tee hee! But my legs…nope! Still not happy! I wish my body would get on the same page as my brain and heart! Jeesh! Is that too much to ask? ;) Well, anyway, so I was suppose to do that for 20 minutes. I am proud to say I did make my 20 minutes~ walk/ running and ran/walked 1.4 miles in that length of time. (This is pretty good, for the old arthritic, fat girl! No hatin’ here, please!) so I walk for a little and decide that I should run some more. But funny, now that I don’t have the stopwatch out, it’s not hurting to run as bad. I actually enjoyed my run the second half. I felt like I was running taller, stronger, my stride was better! I even took on some hills! Wow! I almost felt like the old me…well almost!
Well because of my running I got back from my 3 miles much too soon so I had to walk an extra mile to get in my extra 5 minutes I had left, and ended up walking/ running for 10 on top of the 60. Then I come home, eat the do DA arms and core W/O. I really just feel like a nap! Then I lift weights (arms) for 10 minutes. Now all I have left is yoga, and I am saving it for later. Yoga chills me out to the point I would definitely have to take a nap if I did it when I was this tired!
So I am confronting myself with…WHY?? WhY?? Did you think this was a good idea. If I don’t spread these workout out over the next 5 days, I will never get them all in! So I must wake up and plan on doing my individual workouts out of the way as the day goes on or me and my goal are toast.
This is gonna be alot harder than I thought!
Well, I guess it’s called a goal for a reason!
Tonight me and kids are spending the night with BF, though I still don’t like him much. Hopefully he will take me out to eat! Someplace with healthy choices, of course!
Well I am off to drink lemon water and probably nap! Everyone have a great day!

Hon, I appreciate your desire to channel your inner triathlete but I’m worried! I agree with your inner self that says - maybe add 10 minutes to 15 minutes to your regular workout for a week or so, then you could increase it. I love the heart you’re putting into it - but I don’t want you to hurt yourself!
xoxoxoxoxoxooxoxoxoxoxoxoxooxo Girl you’re workin it!
Hey sweets - an ECO tour is one that is good for the environment and the people who live there…. it’s a cool way to travel. You know, something extra besides buying biodegradable products like toilet paper, papertowels, dish and laundry soap etc….
you could go crazy and eat only organic etc… but I guess I can do what I can afford
xoxoxo
Your body will catch up with your brain and heart soon enough! One day soon we will both be running fools
I agree with anngirl, though, take it nice and slow. You will get there in time!
