Recap of today and yesterday

Yesterday: I did a lot of shopping, probably walked/shopped about 3-4 hours. Then I came home, and while I was getting baby ready for bed, the phone rang and as I rushed to get it. I slid on the floor and fell on my left side. Ouch! Hit my shoulder and then my head, and skinned my knee pretty bad (we have tile floors). I noticed that my feet’s grip on the floor wasn’t so good since I’d put on a callus remover the other day. I should’ve been more careful. I was really worried that I had injured myself more than I thought, but I woke up this morning with a slightly sore arm and knee, and that was it. Last night, I played about an hour and a half of DDR, so it was probably about one hour total of exercise. Good fun!

Today: DH stayed home from work so he watched the baby while I went running. I did 2.5 miles on the hilly course and it wasn’t bad at all. Tomorrow I will do 2 and strength training. Eating was good today.

Bosoxfan asked if I was doing C25k…not anymore. Now I am doing Hal Higdon’s 10k plan

He has all sort of plans on there, including a beginner’s plan if anyone is interested. This guy has been big in the running world for decades.

I ran 3.5 miles as planned. Dh watched the baby for me, but unfortunately the “pee pee” monster decided to visit me while I was in my first .5 mile again…argh. Luckily, the track that I was at was very near a restaurant, so I sidetracked, went in and came back out. Note to self: Go before you leave home!! Food intake was good yesterday, I made a broccoli casserole, which I may be off a little on the calories, but it was still yummy and it was something the baby would eat. (not dh though!)

I know my workout schedule says that I need to run 2.5 miles today, but I think I need to change it since I was supposed to do my long run day before yesterday and I always have a light day after I run.  So I think I will do the 30 minute walk and yoga today instead.

Back on the wagon

Yay, it’s good to be back on this old rickety wagon. I was originally going to run 3 miles today, but when I finally go to the track I had to pee so badly. I’d already unloaded the baby and his stroller and the nearest restroom was probably about 10 minutes away. Soo, I decided that, “heck, I don’t need to use the potty. I can run 10 miles with a full bladder and not bat an eye.”

Ok, that’s not true on 2 counts. I can’t run 10 miles, period and I can’t hold my bladder for even half a mile! Yes, ladies, I wet myself a little bit.  Like an idiot. I can laugh at it now. I went home, put the baby to bed, and did Y!F for 45 minutes. I feel pretty good. Tomorrow, I will ask DH to watch the baby while i do my long run. There are seven weeks until the 10k, so it’s time to kick it into gear.

See that wagon, moving down the road to 150 lbs?

Well, I fell off of that baby hard. Junk, junk, junk is all I have been eating the past couple of days. Notice how I also havent been posting as well. A lot has been going on. I have been working, I have been upset, and I have been sleep deprived. No, not making excuses, just saying that these are things that I need to take notice of when they are happening as things that throw me off track. I feel like Ive been making this kind of post a lot lately and it makes me angry at myself.

It cant go on, it wont go on.

Heres my get back on track plan: Im not going to weigh myself until this friday. Until then, Im going to eat my alloted calories, workout, lift weights. I will be posting a new workout plan that incorporates my weightlifting and stretching. I am going to cook today, enough to last baby and I for the next few days. I want to be fit and healthy…and I have to make this clear to myself : FOR ME, not for anyone else. FOR ME.

Is he insane?!

Man runs marathons while pushing quadruplets

I can say with all honesty that is one thing I will never try. One, I don’t have quadruplets, two, that’s insane, and I am not insane.

I ran 2 miles today on the hilly course with ONE baby in his stroller. I got a reminder that I really need to watch where I’m running. I almost twisted my ankle on an pine cone that was in the road. I certainly dont want that again. Eating went well today, I stayed in my calorie range. I’m going to try to eat small amount of honey to sweeten things instead of splenda. I really want to get off of artificial sweetners period. We will see how it goes.

Honey by the way is pretty neat stuff.

I will not fail at this weight loss journey. I’ve worked too hard and come to far and yet I feel myself slipping away from it. So here’s fess up time: I’ve been eating like crap lately. I start off the day with good intentions, tracking my calories, and then it all goes to hell by noon. I tried to go running yesterday and stopped .5 miles in. Ok, the baby was screaming, but I know that if I’d gone on for abotu 2 more minutes that he would’ve stopped. I just chose to stop running.

And finally, the real kicker: I’ve not weighed myself in a couple of days. Yes, I, who weigh myself everyday, has been avoiding the scale. This is always a bad,bad sign. I need to get things back in place the way that they were. I will write more later.
