One month to Onederland- 4 days left!

And 3 more pounds to shed…bleh, it could happen I suppose. I am tempted not to weigh myself until the 4th. As a matter of fact, I will do that. I know that’s not a big deal to most people, but I am compulsive about it almost. Ok, so no more weighing until the morning of the 4th. To be truthful, if I am down even another pound, I will be happy because I know that onederland is within arm’s reach.

Today: I’ve had a turkey sandwhich on whole wheat double fiber bread w/ a few almonds. I read that almonds are one of the most nutrient dense foods  you can eat, but boy are they expensive. They do leave me feeling full with just eating a few, so I guess they are worth it. My friend invited me to Piccadilly to eat this evening for dinner. So, for lunch, I’m just going to have a veggie/fruit plate I’ll make at home and then just turkey and dressing at Piccadilly, with a side of greens. Yum! No gravy on the dressing. I’ve really got to stop eating out so much, even though I’m evening things out at home by not eating a whole lot here as well. We may go out for Sushi next week, but I can do a healthy meal with that easily.

Baby and I are going walking right now and then to consignment shops/garage sales. Fun! Hopefully, I can find him some walking shoes. I went to striderite and they cost 42 dollars! Holy moly, I dont pay that much for MY shoes.

Busy day, doing some grocery shopping and also going to try and make something new when I get home tonight. Hopefully hubby will enjoy it as well. It is so hard to make foods that he will like and that are healthy. No excercise this morning, I am going to shoot for tonight, since today will be pretty busy. I was SO tired last night that I didn’t do any excercise, besides that walk we took, at all yesterday. I haven’t been that tired in a long time.

Update: I did 45 minutes of Y!F with arms, ouch! Now for a cup of green tea and a hot bath! Hopefully, baby will stay asleep for my nice long soak.

Even though I had one of these bad boys:

My friend and I had just finished a walk in the park and she said, Let’s go get some custard. I love the snappy turtles. It’s custard, which I got sugar free, made with splenda, topped with low sugar chocolate syrup and caramel. Custard is naturally 90 percent fat free and also made from all natural ingredients, so says the Bop’s Website. So here’s what my menu looked like today:

B: chicken breast sandwhich on whole grain bread

L: same as breakfast

S: Snappy turtle (not the best choice)

D: blackeyed peas with green snaps, 1/2 a sweet potato

So, my critique of my menu is that I could’ve had one friggin piece of fruit! But I’m happy I didn’t go out of control for dinner.

Exercise today: 30 minute walk, 30 minute step aerobics (Y!F), 10 minute abs w/stability ball, 15 minute stretch w/stability ball. I had a lot of water today as well, though I didn’t’ really keep track.  I’m about to go to bed and I wish I could feel like this every night: Not hungry, but not overly full. I am usually starving by this time of night, since I stop eating after 8 o’clock. I used to be a big time midnight snacker.

My knee is still sore. I am going walking today though no matter what, though I don’t know about doing Y!F. I tried last night and my knee just hurt too badly. I am going to try to do some exercises with the stability ball tonight or this evening. Up until now, I really thought I would make my goal of the one hundreds and now I don’t know. I just have one week left. I will still try my best though. Gulping down water as well speak. So far this morning for breakfast was a chicken breast sand which on whole wheat bread. I will post more later.

Ow! My knee!

Baby and I went walking this morning and only did 20 minutes because baby started getting p.o’d.. Came home , put him down for a nap and started doing 45 minutes of Y!F. I had to stop 15 minutes in because my left knee was killing me :(  I’ve been rubbing it with bengay all day and it’s still rather sore. I hope it goes away, or lessens tomorrow. Nothing much else going on lately.

Lazy Sunday

I was pretty active yesterday, did a 30 minute walk with DH and the baby in the park, and then came home and did 30 minutes of Y!F, followed by a 15 minute stretch with my brand new stability ball! I was so excited to get this. Let me tell you, crunches are so much harder on these things. I also used them during Y!F and she is brutal with it. I am going to start using it tomorrow for when I watch tv or sit at the computer, it’s supposed to help posture and abdominal muscles.

I made a pretty good meal today. It was just spaghetti, which in the past has been a big weakness for me. But I made it with whole grain noodles, ground turkey, and added Zuccinni and Squash to the sugar free sauce. Very good and filling. I had that for lunch and dinner and a bowl of cereal for breakfast with assorted fruits throughout the day.
