Worth it?

August 2nd, 2008

After half a pound weight loss this week I am very unconvinced they are anything but an expensive way to make you feel like you are doing something extra. Will I get any more? Highly unlikely.

So at the weigh in yesterday I had lost 0.7% body fat, apparently. Is this due to the pills? It’s so hard to say, it could obviously be due to exercising more and eating less rubbish! However, one benefit it says it has is that it is an appetite suppressant and I have felt a lot less hungry and a lot less like I want to snack. I especially feel quite disinterested in sweet things, which I usually crave.

melting middle chocpudAs an example last week I had one of these chocolate puddings in my fridge all week and didn’t eat it. I even had cream to go with it, but i just didn’t feel like eating it. Amazing!

Nothing untoward…

…today. Did feel a bit nauseous and weird at about 6.30pm but then I was hungry and I was on a hot, crowded bus. Still can’t be sure that it’s the tablets! So will carry on regardless!
On the energy front: I did feel really energetic and awake in parts today, put then also felt really lathargic in others. Don’t know whether that’s the caffeine content making me buzz, then crash or if it’s all in my head! I’ll see what tomorrow brings….:)

Possible side effects..?

On the diet pill front: took two tablets B4 breakfast, no probs. Took two before lunch, had some nausea and little flashing lights which I some times get if my BP or blood sugar is low and I feel like I’m going to faint, also a little shaky. Had some lunch and a little lay down and felt better.

HOWEVER, I had just come back from my swim and it had been hours since breakfast so could just have been hungry. Will see what happens tomorrow and if I feel weird after the lunch time tablets I will just cut it down to the B4 breakfast tablets.

Also I do feel really awake and energetic…. could it be the tablets or is it just psychosomatic: I’m feeling more energetic and awake because the tablets say they should make me feel more energetic?

So do Diet Pills work?

Due to a mishap on Amazon I am now the proud (accidental) owner of a bottle of Bio-synergy Body Perfect Fat Burner Capsules. Don’t ask how I accidentally bought them, it’s far too long and complicated! I was just checking out how much they were because they were on special offer and how much the postage was and somehow I ended up taking it all the way through to purchase! I also accidentally bought 3 books at the same time!

Anyway, I got to thinking-seeing as they are here anyway why don’t I try them and see what they they are like?
These pills claim

  1. They will enhance your healthy eating plan and support your exercise work to enhance your fat loss.
  2. Give you the figure you have always wanted.
  3. Bio-Synergy’s Body Perfect will help you fight the flab - and win!

I’m a little confused about the dosage because the bottle says take two before breakfast and two before lunch, but the website says take two before breakfast and avoid taking later in the day. So not sure what to do. I think I will do what the actual bottle says and see how it goes…

So this little experiment is to see if I think these actually make any difference.
