Slightly drunk musings..

… so here i am a few glasses of wine later wondering what i’m going to do after next week- what am i going to do to keep myself focused on getting down the gym? I only have a limited amount of holiday time to have off work so i have to be careful about what i’m doing, there are no runs or anything planned in for next year on any charity websites. I’m worried that i’m just gonna let it all go, and i have been making small steady progress with weight loss and fitness over the last six weeks, so i don’t want to let it go. And well, seeing as i have just polished off at least a half a bottle of red wine there is a possibility that i could just get the lazy bug again.
Anyone got any ideas?
ps. it took me ages to write this as i had spell check myself every word! And i still might not have caught them all! ![]()

Good day because….
Nice day out at the seaside
Had fish and chips, didn’t eat most of the batter, left half the chips. So, not too bad.
Didn’t have ice-cream
Nice walk on the beach
Walked up some killer steps from the beach back to town to go home.
Bad day beacuse…
Also had a hot dog with fried onions
Have had several handfuls of Haribo sweets
Didn’t go to the gym or swimming
I am currently drinking a large glass of red wine… ![]()
Hmmm, better make that 3 glasses and a muffin.
So, starting tomorrow I will start another food diary and will also keep an online exercise diary. I still use the exercise log i bought but perhaps if i ‘go public’ for a week or two it will inspire me to put it more into it again. I have 3 weeks until i go away and i would really like to be down to 10st (140Ibs) by then.

… 2.6Ib. I know i should be really chuffed but somehow, for some reason, i feel disappointed. i think i really wanted a bit more off… 3Ibs or so. It all comes down to wanting instant results, i guess i just need to work a bit harder. Or eat a bit less. Well, I suppose 2.6Ib was not too bad considering i was eating such junk at the weekend and on monday. Ok, I think i’ve talked myself into being a bit more positive. 2.6Ib off in 4 days isn’t so bad!! ![]()

… but i really want the scales to say i’ve lost weight tomorrow. I know actual weight loss is not the be all and end all but i’ve started to loose some of my enthusiasm for the gym and i feel i need to see some results to stay positive. Fingers crossed for tomorrow…

I spent the whole night awake because i felt so ill after all that food yesterday. I had to call in sick to work as i had had absolutely no sleep because of the nausea, stomach cramps, bloatedness, etc etc. So i spent all morning sleeping and managed to fit in a little food. Also, my legs are killing me from the ‘cardio-yoga’ I did yesterday.
I appear to have lost my usual yoga dvd (admittedly i haven’t seen it in about 2 years!!) but i did find one my othe dvd’s had a 30 minute ‘cardio-yoga’section so i thought i’d give that a whirl, and it was actually quite hard. My legs especially feel so…
Anyway, I don’t like today because i am tired, feel nauseous, and ache in a variety of interesting place from yoga and being sick last night. Great.
THE GYM IS CLOSED!!

How am i supposed to exercise if the gym is closed?! How inconsiderate…. just ‘cos it’s a bank holiday! I’m gonna have to go for a walk or something!! Except the weather is a bit, well, English…typical bank hloiday weather. I suppose i could dig out a yoga dvd…hmmmm. i shall ponder on this dilemma. At least the gym re-opens tomorrow!
Food Log Week 6

Sunday
Breakfast: 1/2 tin canned peaches
Lunch:1xtin of vegetable soup
Dinner: roast beef, carrots, broccolli, cauliflower, 1x small yorks pud. Gravy.
Snacks: 2x choc digestives. 4x bottles of lager. Whoops. Hardly the best start to the week. Will do better!
Monday:
Breakfast: 1/2 tin canned peaches
Lunch: 5oz steak with chips
Dinner: steak (again!) Potatoes. Vegetables. 2x large yorkshire puddings. Chocolate fudge pudding with cream
Snacks: 2x bottles lager. 250ml red wine. 2 large vodkas with diet coke. A bag of sweets.
OK-where has my will power gone? I remember what it looks like, I just can’t seem to find it right now
Tuesday:
Breakfast: Medium sized bowl of porridge +1 tbsp sugar (bf taken sweetener to work!!)
Lunch: 1 small tin vegetable soup
Dinner: bolognese (lean mince,onion,tinned tomatoes, worchestershire sauce) spaghetti. A little cheese on top
Snacks: alpen light cereal bar.
Now thats a more sensible day. Keep it up for rest of week. Gym and swim tommorrow!
Wednesday:
Breakfast: fat free yoghurt with 20g cereal
Lunch: prawn salad(prawns, low fat marie rose dressing, lettuce, sweetcorn, carrot, pasta. Alpen light cereal bar
Dinner: small jacket potato with baked beans and cheese
Snacks: handful of sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds and dried fruit. A few squares of chocolate. 1 double bacardi and diet coke
Much better day! Went to the gym-didn’t go swimming as forgot hairbrush! (silly reason i know but my hair gets really tangled, and i have to walk home!!)
Thursday:
Breakfast: fat free yoghurt, 20g cereal
Lunch: tin of chunky beef and vegetable soup. 250ml fruit smoothie
Dinner: chilli- minced beef,tinned tomatoes,kidney beans,onion,chilli
Snacks: handful of sunflower seeds,pumpkin seeds, dried fruit. 1 square of chocolate. 2 double bacardi’s and diet coke
Did 15 abs workout from DVD. Ouch.
Friday:
Breakfast: 1/2 tin fruit slad
Lunch: prawn sandwich. 250ml fruit smoothie
Dinner: chicken +bacon, stuffed with cheese. Lettuce. cucumber. celery. 6xpotato wedges (small ones)
Snacks: 1/2 tin fruit salad. 4x chocs ( i wish people at work would stop buying chocolate!) Fat free yoghurt. 1xdouble bacardi and diet coke
Still hurting from abs exercises. Went to gym too for some cardio..

..guess I’ve been busy! I unfortunately gained 2 pounds last week but i know why: Bread. If I think back over the week I had a lot of toast on Sunday, pizza on tuesday, a huge subway sandwich on thursday, bread roll and a Danish on Friday for lunch and then i had pizza again last night! It’s no wonder….
lol I am hoping that the fact I have still been going down the gym and generally eating better will mean that I have stored a lot of water this week (bread products make me retain water like a sponge! lol) and that i will have lost some fat this week so i should loose the 2pounds and a little more this week.
So the plan is to lay off the carbs a little, defintely a lot less bread and pizza! And avoid too much pasta and potatoes! I think i will put up a food diary this week just so I can pay attention to what I’m doing. try and have vegetable soups for lunch, I might even make some homemade soup..
