Alrighty, this isn’t the first time that I’ve been here, but here I am again. I’ll admit that in the last 6 months I haven’t been ‘in the game’ so to speak but damn! sometimes life just gets in the way. I’ve had a fabulous spring and summer, that’s for sure and I just stepped on the scale for the first time since May and happily have only gained four pounds. I knew that I was still doing ok though, even without the scale since jeans never lie and I’ve been in the same pair since then. I’m back though because I’m still about 90lbs from my goal weight which is 150 (I’ll save you from doing the math and also tell you that I currently weigh 240.8lbs).
So this is my strategy: More vigilence in what I eat, hit the gym at school as soon as the semester starts and get my ass back on that damn eliptical.
I’m surprised that I was so successful at maintaining my weight over the summer, considering all the restaurant food, inconsistent eating times and alcohol consumption……I’d call that a win. But summer is at an end now and there are other things to consider. One: my best friend just told me she was getting married and has asked me to be the maid of honour. The wedding will be sometime next summer and I would love to look SMOKIN’! Two: I just met a guy that I really like, we’re friends at the moment but he’ll be overseas for 10 months for school and I would love to be able to blow him away with a sexy new me when he comes home next July. Three: I started this journey a year ago and am more than happy with the progress I’ve made so far but its time to up the ante and finish the job cause damn it! I deserve it.
I will use this blog to help me keep my eye on the prize and remind myself that I’m not in this alone.
