Strength

So, I’m proud of myself for the willpower I’ve exhibited in my life during the last 13 days.  Most of that temptation has been at home, since my fiance’ Ryan can eat everything he wants to eat, but I have resisted eating those things.  Also, I went over to my dad’s house on Father’s Day and ate only veggies and brown rice instead of eating steak and baked potatoes.  I’ve had my best friend Amber also ask us over for dinner and I always tell her that I will come but I have to eat on my meal plan.  She keeps asking like she thinks I’ll eventually let my guard down, but I’m NOT going to.  I told her tonight that I’m able to eat meat now, so that will give us more options as far as things I can eat, but I am not going to just blow my diet for a freaking meal with friends…I’d just go to enjoy the company, and it truly doesn’t bother me not being able to eat what they eat.  I’m there to talk.

So tonight was tough.  I won’t say it was HARD, but it was tough.  We went bowling with a teacher at my school and her husband and church group.  With the bowling came pitchers of cokes and bags of popcorn.  We paid for the drinks and popcorn because it was included but can I tell you, I didn’t eat a bite of either.  Ryan went and got me a diet drink from the coke machine so I wouldn’t have to drink the cokes.  Everyone around was snacking on that popcorn, but I didn’t eat any.  And I LOOOOOOOVE popcorn.  Also, they have a GREAt snack bar there, and people were eating pizzas and nachos and all kinds of stuff ,and I just kept thinking to myself that it was not worth it and we would eat when we got home…and I did!!! It made me feel very strong to not do that.

That’s all for tonight, just wanted to vent.  I’m getting to the point where I really miss real food though.  I wish I could have some Mexican food.  That’s what I miss the most, and it is SO calorie packed.  If I end up going off my diet at some point (and realizing it), I’m going to have Mexican.  Ha!

So I was REALLY bad today with my food.  I went to bed so late, and got up even later.  I worked out without even eating anything, then took a shower, and by the time I ate it was only one big meal that I had.   So with that being said (and by the way that will NOT happen again anytime soon)

-2C brown rice

-1 can pinto beans

-Broccoli (steamed)

-3 tbsp low-fat Ranch

-1 pickle

-1 can of pineapple (in pineapple juice)

OK guys, I weighed in this morning, it’s day 10 of Phase 1.  Here’s my progress

Start weight: 312.5

Weigh today:  301.2

Loss for Phase 1: 11.3 lbs.!!! Yay!!!

-fruit cocktail (in 100% fruit juice)

-Romaine lettuce salad with 2 egg whites, cucumber, and 3 TBSP fat free Caesar dressing

-1/2C green beans

-2 grilled portabella mushrooms, grilled squash, zucchini, and shallots

-1 glass decaf tea with 1 packet of Equal
