What a great day 1!!!!

So I decided to get out my calorie counter — all part of the process. Did keep my calories under 1700 which is a YAY!!!! Didn’t get home until 7 — after work I had to get some stuff for my mom and go visit with her. We got some upsetting news yesterday and she needed some words of comfort. I have to admit the new rocked me — but only because its an all too familiar story to my own several years ago. An childhood friend of mine is currently at her husband’s bedside while cancer takes him from her - the worst part of the story is she is in a foriegn country with no family or friends to help her (they were on a cruise and he was airlifted to a hospital in Greece –**). So I didn’t want to leave my mom alone - we were just at a huge gathering for another member of this same family on Sunday so its rather a fresh feeling and my poor mom wishes she could go help - but she isn’t doing well herself with her last chemo treatment and her health is #1 right now.

Ok so enough of that rambling. The best part of the night was about 8 when I finally sat on the couch - I declared yesterday a WiiFit free day. After about 30 minutes of relaxing I found myself going upstairs and getting into my workout gear. Came down turned on my Wii — it asked me if G (my sweetie) was looking fitter - LMAO. It was glad to see me back two days in a row and I did a fabulous 20 minute workout. I yelled at the trainer, laughed with the super hula hoop and took my bubble down the river but never got to far (balance game) - lets just say after 20 minutes I was sweating, aching and feeling FABULOUS!!!!!! We need to get more of these shipped over from Japan!!!!

**PS - thank goodness for the internet and dear friends.  I was able to send a note to a online friend in Greece and get some information - will help ease some minds over here.
