Good to hear that things are going well. I've been BUSY! I forgot that I have to work from August to May. Glad to hear you're doing WW. I think they have a great plan.

You are doing so good!

I have a question for you... I just started doing WW too, and I was wondering why you do a point range. Just curious :-)

Happy Friday!

You go, girl! Congrats on walking away from that meatloaf! Not worth it! Sometimes it amazes me when I look at things we tend to take for granted and see all the fat, carbs, and calories in them. Hubby likes an occasional dinner of Kraft Macaroni and Cheese, fried Spam (yep, Spam!) sandwiches and fried potatoes. One time I looked up all the nutritional info and it was unreal! Like a week's worth of calories in that one meal. and I don't even like it!

Good job at keeping the portions small at the shower. Those types of events can be really tough. Keep up the great job!

My husband used to often do the same. My advice : give him something else he can pick up to please you (flowers are a good one, you could also suggest candles, nice bath gel, etc). Ooh and ahh over those gifts (even if you're faking it) so he gets the positive reinforcement.

Also (and this one was key for us) - my DH is a real foodie, and he loves sharing that with me. I had to explicitly give him permission to enjoy his food treats OUT of the house and WITHOUT me. I've told him to go to that fabulous Italian place with a colleague, meet a friend of his at the fancy bakery, etc -- so he doesn't get deprived along with me. He could stand to lose a few too, but I need to separate that from my own weight loss - when he eats at home he gets the healthy stuff, and he's actually pretty good at self-policing. He doesn't have the treats as often as we used to, but I think it helped a lot that he understands that it's ME who doesn't want that stuff, he is still able to have it as long as it's not here torturing me.

That is so sweet that he thought of you. But I totally understand, sometimes I feel bad for my fiance but then I think that maybe the new healthy food is good for him too. It is extremely painful (on my part) watching him eat burgers/pizza/lasagne and me having a salad. But I feel good knowing that at least once a week he can eat greasy comfy food.

Yeah, same here! I finally had to tell him point blank, "I love you, I appreciate the candy but I can't eat it and if you bring it to me again, I'll kill you." He took it pretty well and now he brings me flowers, jewelry, or stuff for the yard (which he knows I love!).
