Weekend didn’t go well, but at least it didn’t go bad either. I could have lost more weight than I did, but I did not gain any more. Onward!
It’s so peaceful in the house right now. Husband is still sleeping and the cats haven’t been let out yet.
I need to finalize/book our vacation for this September. We are going to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary. We are going over to Indiana to spend a week in Amish Country. We couldn’t afford a big vacation this year, but I am still looking forward to it. Two of the small towns will be having festivals while we are over there. I love festivals! I’ve been researching all the surrounding towns to where we’ll be staying and there is going to be so many things we could do! I have to make sure I don’t over plan. I don’t want to have a hectic vacation and besides it drives my husband bonkers. A lot of the places could revolve around food. There are Farmer’s markets, festivals, craft malls, etc that will have Amish food at them. So we are just going to have to focus on the other things and not to food. Can’t say we won’t eat anything unhealthy, it is vacation after all. But I am hoping to be a little farther along on my progress and I don’t want to have a major set back. I can’t say that Amish food strikes me as particularly healthy/low cal/low fat, etc.
This morning, once it is a decent hour, I need to go to the post office, Aldi’s and Krogers. Drop a package off for paperbackswap.com, pick up an item we forgot last night, and pick up a few sale items. I also want to make a dessert today, I’ve been over using the frozen treats. Thought about making pumpkin bars again, but decided to branch out into unknown recipes.
Later, we will probably watch some episodes of Tenchi, an anime that we like. And I need to wrap my sister’s wedding shower gift for the party tomorrow. Otherwise no specific plans for the day.

I thought I’d keep track of the times I’ve been eating.
It didn’t rain yesterday, but I was doubtful that my husband would want to go for a walk. So I did WATP when I got home from work. Then later, after dinner, we went for walk too! Yay!
I’ve noticed that many people on here… that I read anyways, are teachers. How did that happen? Coincidence or not… It must be nice to have the summer off. Incidently, I too have a degree in education. I just don’t have my teaching license.
Three days ago on my way home from work there was an accident on the expressway going South, but it was a few hundred feet before my entrance ramp, so it didn’t slow me down any. However, the North traffic was backed up an entire exit (2 miles) just from people gawking at the accident on the South side of the expressway. It was amazing. There is a good 15-20 feet of midway between the traffic lanes. I could just imagine how annoyed all the people stuck in traffic were going to be when then finally reached the accident and found it was on the opposite side. I would have been. What makes people so fascinated with other peoples tragidies? Hmm.. there are probably studies on this somewhere. I am posting this now because I had nothing else to say!

My shoulders are stiff this morning. But on the bright side the scale finally went back down, I lingered at my post buffet weight for 3 days. I realize there will be some fluctuation, but I can’t help feeling happier when the numbers fluctuate down lol
Isn’t there some kind of exercise recommendation… like weight training every other day, aerobic every day? or is it vice versa?
WATP… Walk away the Pounds, is a I think low impact aerobic type exercise… I think anyways. There are four basic movments: the walking in place (marching), the side step, knee lift, and kick. While alternating in between these movements, you are instructed to use the weighted balls (snicker) to work out your arms. Does that sound low impact? As for fun, well no, I’m not sure it qualifies for that, but it is easy to follow and once I’m a little more in shape it will be easier to do. I have the three pack… 1 mile (18 minutes), 2 mile (30 minutes), and 3 mile (57 minutes). I’m not sure how many are for sale, but I’ve seen a 5 mile in the store.
I asked my husband to walk with me tonight if it doesn’t rain. That would be fun. Otherwise I guess I’ll be WATP again. If we walk we will take Wren, our aussie, with us.
uurrggh… I exercised, the dreaded evil exercise. I decided to use the WATP at least to get me going. I did the 1 mile, no leg movements besides marching and used 1.5 lb weights for the arm movements. It was hard. I am pathetic… but it was really hard. My arms were giving out on me at the end and I was sweaty and hot just from marching in place for 20 minutes. I know it will get easier, I’ve been through this before, but dang.
