I am Ini. A 34 year old single working woman.
well… I had been a skinny kid till I was about 10. I used to take dance lessons and practice almost daily. Then my periods started around that time. The dance lessons got phased out because I had no talent for it. And I started to gain weight.
Life went on. I was never a physically active person. I have always been more fond of reading than of playing any sport.
By the time, I was studying engineering, I became more conscious. I was about 30 lbs heavier. I went on a diet. I started going to gym. Gave them up both after a little while.
Joined a slimming centre during my first job. Lost money but no weight. Again gym and again dropped out.
Bought a treadmill on my third job. Exercised on and off. Went on a strict diet and lost around 10 lbs in 2 months. But again could not keep up with the diet.
Recently I got diagnosed with diabetes. That shook me up some. For many months now, I had felt tired all the time. I felt if I don’t make a lifestyle change even now, I am doomed for ever.
I have joined a gym a few months back. And I work out with a personal trainer. So far this has been incredibly rewarding. I feel more energetic, lot less depressed. My trainer is fab and fun.
I need to lose another 15-20 lbs in the coming months.
