Ok so the title of this post has nothing to do with the post itself. Its just that ive discovered Rammstein’s album “Mutter” lately, and i really love the whole thing, in particular “Sonne” which is a sort of eery, energetic, sad, strong song. If a song can be all of those things at once. Its a very awesome album
Anyway, the point of this post is to say that today i started my running training plan for the Auckland Adiddas Quarter Marathon in November. I’ve never done anything like a quarter marathon, so im quite nervous, but i figured that 10.55km is a good place to start doing that kind of thing, and it gives me something to work towards. Im actually quite excited about it. Im not sure what size shirt i should ask for, they say that they are designed to be a tight fit so if you prefer loose choose the size up from what you would normally pick. But im not sure what i’ll weight when i get to november. I think i’ll just go with large, that should fit me now and i dont think that if its a bit too big by november that it’ll be a big deal. Better to be too big than too small right?

Wow how great to have decided to join a marathon! I still haven’t gotten the guts to join. :: sighs :: hopefully I’ll have it by next year, I think that might be my 2009 New Year’s resolution, that I’m stating now, lol…I don’t think I’m doing that right.
either way, awesome job, way to commit yourself and you can do it! Can’t wait to hear of your progress…you might want to look into the Couch to 5K thing that some members have been talking about, IF you’re not a big runner like muah.

Sooo, I checked out this album per your recommendation and gave it a shot at the gym. While it was fine for cardio it is AWESOME for strength training. It’s like steroids, only not. I don’t know, I’ve never done those (I don’t want to grow testicles or something scary) but it certainly pumped me up.
Hey! Congrats on the marathon! How cool and impressive are you?!

oooh i am so glad you tried the album! I loooove strength training, and i when im pumping weights i can just hear them pounding out that music. I think its just so grunty, sorta “yeah this is painful AND WE LOVE IT, DO YOU LOVE IT? DO YOU LOVE THE PAIN YET?” music
Now i need to listen to it again….

Oh I love Rammstein! There’s nothing than a bunch of crazy Germans making music, right?
Way to go on the running, I’m starting on Sunday mornings with my friend and her father (so I have no excuses to turn off my alarm) but I hate running. I hope you enjoy it more!

Nothing better than a bunch of crazy HOT germans
Till, Schneider and Richard are mine
I hated running too! But now that i am doing because I have decided to, not because someone else thinks i should, makes it a lot easier. Plus now i have goals about how i want to perform each time i run, so im not just running because i have to, I’ve gotta beat that last time! I think you will come to enjoy it more than you would expect

Yeah from experience though I always find it difficult, which I suppose is what it’s all about - you can always push yourself further.
But for somebody who is lazy thats a really scary thought, lol!

i find it hard to get started always, but now i am developing rhythm, its almost therapeutic! I am as shocked as you are. I am quite lazy too, but i am also kinda full of nervous excitment about actually doing a quarter marathon
