730a: painter is, once again, late. i’ve now been up for almost an hour. i would’ve savored that hour in bed. it’s a nice, cool morning, and the bed just felt sooooo good this morning. poo on the painter. on the progress front: same weight, different day.
830a: painter finally arrived. ate a fiber one bar for breakfast. hope he doesn’t hear the gassy results of it!
1p: if i knew this morning what today was going to turn out like, i woud’ve stayed in bed. the paint looks awful. not just awful, but AWFUL. horrid. don’t know how else to describe it. definitely not they way it looked on the valspar website. lowes tells me its not refundable. the painter tells me he can come back monday, but he will charge be labor all over again, basically paying for two houses. plus he ruined my beautiful new deck. he misted it with white and green paint, then when he pressure washed it, some of the stain turned a weird color. i am absolutely devastated. i already stopped payment on the check i gave him (i wrote it before i saw the deck). i then had to transfer all the money out of my bank account, b/c the bank doesn’t guarantee same-day service on a stop payment. i’m so sick over this, i’ve been crying my eyes out. like someone has died or something, that’s how sick i am. please tell me how silly i am being. it’s so stupid to be this upset over paint, but i’m already out $600, plus my deck stain is ruined. :( :( :(

Double damn that scale! I’m thinking if you’re sore from your new trainers w/o then that might goose the weight loss going again. Or, Maybe you need to throw in another round of cardio during the day. That’s what helps me when things slow down. Just over two weeks left in your 5 week challenge so come on girl “GRAB THE DAMN BULL”!!!
:lol: And if that don’t work “GRAB THE DAMN SCALES” and throw them the hell out! You’ll show ‘em!

I just came back on to read some blogs and saw your update. That’s so sad your paint didn’t turn out. What color was your trim supposed to be? Try not to get too worked up over it. What’s done is done. If you need it repainted just try a small can and paint a little trim to see how it looks. My mums house is single story and I painted the whole thing plus trim on a step ladder. Not difficult at all! If you find a color you like just do as much as you can reach yourself(if it’s two story) to cut costs and then hire out…only not the same feller though! :) You can stain over your deck yourself too! It’s a good project!

That just really pisses me off!!! Why the f*** do they think we hire them, anyway? So we won’t screw it up! I’m sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry that you have to deal with this. That’s one of the reasons I usually just do things myself. I can’t tell you how many times I paid someone to do something and was left feeling really disappointed because I knew I could have done a better job because I CARE what it looks like.
Don’t cry! Just take lots of pictures to document and then take a deep breath and figure out what’s next.
