This can be for all areas of life not just with weight loss goals or exercise.

The harder you work for something or the harder you fight for it the better it will feel when it is yours - truly yours and oh how that victory will feel when I reach my goal from all the working and fighting I myself have done.

These past few days I have felt a renewance of myself

and you know what that means…… Weigh in day and according to my scale I am back down 1.6lbs - this tetter tottering I have going on is getting a lil crazy and annoying.

I have a pretty busy weekend with my nephews 1st birtday party tomorrow (at the beach) and then theres church and grocery shopping on Sunday with some hhouswork thrown in there somewhere.

When I was born I was a short chubby baby. My mom always tells me she thought I would be a fat midget cause it seemed I would never grow. Well turns out that as I got older I did grow (not alot) and I also slimmed out.

I can remeber in middle school being chubby yet junior high I was thin and high school well thats where I think the battle began.

Growing up my mom always made sure we had a snack before bed… cookies & milk, cereal, donuts, ice cream etc. and my dad was always eat everything on your plate (even those nasty limas). Going to elementary and middle school I never had to eat school lunch as my mom always made me a sandwich with fruit and some sort of juice and dinners then what I can remember was fairly healthy.

Junior high is when things started to change. I ate pop tarts for breakfast or left over cake or brownies with milk for lunch I would grab something out of the vending machine and dinner sometimes I was to busy to eat.

High school was even worse. Breakfast was nothing cause I had to sleep as long as possible, lunch was pizza or fried chicken sandwich from the cafeteria and dinner was fast food with friends.

My junior year of high school I started on the Depo birth control shot by my third shot I had to stop taking it as it seemed everyone I got made me blow up like a bigger balloon. I never knew a side affect was weight gain so with that said I stopped the shot. The doc told me it would take 1-2 years to get out of my system and from there on I have suffered with my weight.

someone asked me today -

if your not loosing any weight why do you still do it?

when i first started out on my new way of life i said i would watch what i eat and exercise even if i never lost a pound. i still feel that way and it’s been over a year.

so why do i still do it? i watch what i eat and exercise because it makes me feel good, it gives me this high like i can conquer the world. i watch what i eat and exercise because it’s good for me physically, mentally and spirtually.

as long as the lord blesses me to be healthy and able i will continue even if i NEVER loose another lb

 

RUN July 21, 2008

Running they say is a great way to loose weight.

There are days when I find myself day dreaming or my mind wondering and I can see myself running - running for long periods of time to far away distances. I’m not at a fast pace yet I am at a steady pace.

I feel the urge to run but when it comes down to it I merely get on my treadmil and do my spurts of a 4.0 run. Yes it’s a start and I do plan on building myself up to go faster and further and even make it outside so I can go those distances feeling the rush I get when I picture myself doing it.

 

Ole crazy scale July 18, 2008

Well it’s Friday which I refer to as weigh day so I got up this morning at 5am went to the potty and hoped on the scale and this is the number that showed up 203. I stepped back off the scale in aww as I wasn’t sure why the scale could show that crazy number I have been so good with my eating and exercising and yet that THING gave me this number that I was sooo not expecting.

I started pondering on reasons why this was happening water retention, to many calories eaten, not enough calories burned, to much exercise, not enough exercise and on and on the thoughts came in my mind.

I say who cares what that crazy ole scale says - I feel GREAT! my clothes fit me nicely and I plan on doing this for the rest of my life I just hope that one day that crazy ole scales numbers will catch up with way I feel.

 

Ankle weights July 17, 2008

I once heard of a woman who not only lost weight but built a wonderful looking stomach from wearing ankle weights. I saw on tv where a woman said she lost 15lbs just by cleaning huse while wearing ankle weights.

ankle weights and wrist weights were yet another gift my mom got me for my birthday.

I’ve worn the ankle weights a few times to work only at a 1/2lb each leg until I can get use to them.

The ones I have go up to 3lbs each leg and my wrist weights go up to 2lbs each hand. I eventually plan on wearing them both sets at full weight however that is ways away.

 

ENERGETIC July 16, 2008

Boy is my energy out of the this world today.

Woke up 5am had coffee & breakfast with hubby then sent him on his way. Once he was gone i jumped on the treadmil for a walk jog session followed with some counter pushups and ab work on the big ball.

I read somewhere yesturday that people who workout in the am (before there day has started) tend to be more energetic and pay closer attention to what they eat. So far these past few days that has been true.

My mom bought me a few of these exercise videos for my birthday and I am so liking them. The hips and thighs really get a good workout.  I even have dh doing them with me.
