Juvenile Diabets walk March 31, 2008

On Saturday we did the walk - not as many people turned out to walk with us as I had hoped for or planned for, however we did raise $185 so that was good.

It was a beautiful sunny day and there was alot of peple. Breakfast of bagels, donuts, coffee & juice was served before the walk and after the walk they served lunch of sandwiches, hotdogs, chips, cookies tea & water.

Not only was the walk for a great cause but the exercise i got out of it was for a great cause.

 is tonights dinner - my grandmothers choice.

Weighed in this morning at 198.4 which means I am the same weight now for three weeks in a row.

Like I said last week I got my guns (hand written journals) out and I am going to be leaning more toward keeping record in them once again as it did work for me and like they say why steer from what works. Don’t fret as I will continue to check in on here periodically all the way to the finish.

I can make you thin - the tv show

I watched the first two episodes over the weekend while I was sick in bed and for the past few days I have been practicing his four steps

1. eat when hungry

2. eat what you want not what you think your suppose to have

3. eat consciously (slowly, savor, at least 20 chews)

4. stop when full

I must say that it is working as I am leaving food on my plate and I am enjoying the taste of what I am eating and yes I have been eating what I want (even the chocolate bunny) yet using his technique.

Will this show in my weigh in on Friday that I’m not sure of especially withn TOM lurking.

 

Wrap up of the week March 24, 2008

I was some kind of sick the past few days running a fever and coughing, stuffy & sometimes runny nose. My chest & back hurt from all the coughing - I just wanted to stay in bed and did just that on Thursday & Friday. I left work at 8:45am on Thursday and was back in my bed by9:30 and di not get up til 7:35 Friday morning.

My weigh in on Friday 198.4 - stayed the same as last week and did not make my easter goal.

Fridays dinner was Sakura and then we had Cold Stone for desert.

Had a pretty good easter - went to church & spent time with family.

 

Mid week where abouts March 20, 2008

It’s getting closer to my weigh in for my easter goal and I know I will not make my goal especially after my horrible eating spell lastnight. I’m starting to think I am not cut to do mini goals.

I woke up early this morning feeling a bit better after a horrible depressing night last night and I feel like I may be getting a hold on what ever this sickness is trying to attach me.

I think over this long holiday weekend I am gonna pull out the big guns - my notebooks that I wrote in when I first started loosing - I may even go back to doing it notebook style - of course keeping in touch on here as well.

Tonight is biggest loser night. I so want to be my own biggest loser of weight and so of course I am coming down to the wire of my easter goal and I still have 3.4 lbs to loose and I am starting to think that is not doable especially with TOM any day and the fact that I feel like I am getting sick.

B- 1 cup cereal with 1/2 cup milk & 1 cup hot green tea (215)

Yes I did wear green today so there no one can pinch me. I don’t partake in the drinking part of this day as I am not a drinker however I do like the wearing green part of it and I am part Irish so it is a must that I wear green.

Houston we may have a problem - I feel like I am coming down with something. I have a scratchy sore throat, runny nose, freezing cold & sleepy.

Is my pick for tonights dinner.

My calorie average for this week was horrible. I averaged 2465 a day - thats way above where I want and need to be.

With a weekend out of town & a rough start to the week the scale showed this # 198.4 - up 2.2lbs from last week

I have felt sad, upset, depressed, mad & just plain ole blah today - not just for my horrible screw ups that caused my weight gain but for my mom. Her eye doctor wants her to see a specialist at the Mayo Clinic because she has svere pressure behind her eyes and she has been diagnosed with some type of glaucoma which her doc said usually only people with diabetes get this type of glaucoma. I will keep praying to God as he always has the final diagnosage.  My mom saw the specialist & it turns out her eyes are just fine and righ where they should be for her age - God is good!

Had a cool evenimg got to meet David Garrard (QB of my team te Jacksonville Jaguars) and get autographs

Easter dress shopping March 13, 2008

For the past few days I have been doing some dress shopping looking for an easter dress for Easter Sunday church service - I am usually not a dress or skirt wearer but seems since I have been loosing weight & exercising I find the desire to wear them more especially for church. I ought a real cute one the other day from Stein Mart (for church) and this evening I went to JCPennys and I found a dress but not one for easter sunday. The searh continues…
