with hot crispy creme donuts or anything else they bring in. No I don’t want one!

I wish I could just wear a sign that says “on a healthy lifestyle of eating do not come around with unhealthy food” however this is not possible as I have no control over other people - I do have control over myself and DO NOT HAVE TO EAT UNHEALTHY.

I feel better that I have vented and I am ready to move on.

I seem to be doing pretty well  with phase 1. Hunger is a major thing for me right now since TOM has come to visit yet I seem to be doing okay.

Lastnight was the first time I have exercised in over a week and it was just softball practice which my arm is feeling it today. I have got to get my butt in gear and workout.

I am definetly sleeping better. It’s amazing how your eating has a way of making your sleep functions different. Glad mine are for the good.

I am sticking real strick with the rules this go round. In the past I have changed some things like no beans, to much dairy or nuts. Not this time it’s strict and to the rule.

Won’t be weighing in tomorrow hubby and I have decided to change weigh day to Tuesdays so check back then.

The above link is to a purse I have had my eye on for a lil while now and being as it is a lil more money than hubby would like to spend but knowing how bad I want it and he always wants me to have what I want he made a deal with me.

Ever since my aunt & dad passed almost a year ago I can’t seem to get completely back on track with my weight loss. When I began my new way of life my ultimate goal was to get to 165 which would be a weight loss of 50.4lbs which means I have about 35 more to loose to reach that goal. Hubby made mention that he knew how hard I have been working with no real big success he put this challenge before me. Which by the way is a win win challenge.

THE CHALLENGE: Starting today I have 18 weeks (til January 13th) to loose the 40lbs and make my 165 goal. Once I have met or exceeded this goal I will then get my choice of a  Louis Vuitton purse.

I so do not want to fail at this so please please please cheer me on.

Emotions August 29, 2008

Today I have a flurry of emotions going on. Fridays are my normal weigh in days and so I did as I always do on Fridays and thats hop on the ole trusty scale. The number that appeared before my eyes seemed so big in size as if it was screaming at me “what are you doing?” “you’ve worked so hard” “fix it now before it’s to late!” and with those screams I took in my 204.6 weigh in and pondered some reasons for it like not being able to get back on track from T.S. FAY and of course theres always TOM but are these really good excuses to have to see that number on the scale and to make me feel the crazy emotions of hate, sadness, defeat, mad and yet some how a lil bit of strength that I can make this right I can fix it all back to my normal.

Guess my start of South Beach phase 1 this weekend couldn’t have come at a better time.

Seems like since FAY left I can’t seem to get back on a good track. I feel fat and bloated and beside TOM coming my close feel a bit snug so I have decided I need a good clean up/clean out so I have decided to do the 2 week phase 1 of The South Beach Diet. I won’t start complety strict with it til the weekend but have already changed some things to ease the process.

The other day I managed to get a quick workout in on the Elliptical before FAY got worse so I figured I better get the mostest for the leastest and did level 6 for about 20 minutes and for the past few days my calves have been in pure pain. They hurt when I walk, they hurt after I have set for awhile and then try to walk, they hurt when you touch them - they flat out hurt.

I have been doing no lower body exercising except walking and it’s not at a fast pace as the pulling hurts too bad. My hopes is it’s nothing to seriouse and I will back to my normal workouts in no time. In the meantime I will rest the injury and wait.

 

FAY August 25, 2008

How dare you come into my life, my world and reak havic. Your howling winds and side ways rains did no good for me. You caused power outages, downed trees, branches and limbs, flooding and most of all you caused me to get out of my element and for that you are no good.

The maddness began Wednesday as we sat around watching the weather non stop worrying and eating as if it was our last meal.  My eating was horrible pure horrible. I managed workouts when the power wasn’t out.

Now that we are safe - thank God and FAY is a distant memory I am getting back on track slowly but surely.

 

PEAR SHAPE August 20, 2008

I am and always have been a pear shape - big thighs, big hips, big butt and a pouch on the lower part of my stomach. I have been doing some research and this is what I heard:

You cannot in any way, anyhow ever spot reduce While you can work muscles in one particular area, you cannot selectively lose fat from one area of your body. There are exercises and ways of reducing overall fat, but if you tend to hold fat in one area (usually either midsection or hips/thighs) it will probably be the last fat to go - that fat sooo overstays its welcome!

the only way is to burn fat

 

time to workout August 19, 2008

After having Mono and feeling so fatigued, tired, weak etc. I made a promise to myself that when I felt like working out I would and if I didn’t I would simply rest. I have no real set workout schedule however I do try to get at least 30 minutes a day of exercise 7 days a week.  

For the past month-month in a half I have been doing walk away the lbs, treadmil, weight training and just now adding in tae bo bootcamp.

  • walk away the lbs I love this video is so energetic, up beat and a quick workout that I feel I have done something good for my body
  • treadmil has been mostly high intensity walking but recently I have incorprated some running
  • weight training is with my 3, 5 & 10lb hand weights working upper and lower body
  • bootcamp well that word speaks for itself - it’s a hard core sweaty workout that when I am done I feel worked out. I love it cause I can feel my body changing as I do it.

Saturday I did my tae bo bootcamp workout and boy that is one tough all over workout also did my weight training. That evening hubby and I went to the Jaguars game GO JAGS! which unfortunatly they lost - if my dad where still here on earth he would be do happy especially after the year the dolphins had in 07

Sunday I got in my walk away the pounds video headed to church and then made my way to 3 o’clock softball practice where I worked my butt off for a solid hour non stop

Today all eyes are on Fay and wether or not she will come our way - prayers that she won’t.
