Just saying “Hi.”

I’m lurking right now.  I’m in the midst of yet another struggle to stay on-plan and find some much needed motivation.  I’m tired.  That’s all I can say….I’m just tired of the struggle and the dieting.  Someone on one of the threads was talking about not believing they could lose the weight.  I have to admit….I don’t know that I truly believe I can do this.  I’ve been faking it, but that’s not working very well right now.

I believe you can!!! You have to believe in yourself to make it work though. Like Mary Kay said ” If you think you can,you can but if you think you can’t…you’re right” I know you will make the best decision for you!!

I believe you can do it! It is hard and there are times you just want to say forget it but keep on trying! Don’t give up on yourself. Hang in there. hugs, thoughts and prayers are coming your way!

Like the others I believe you can. I would also guess that you’re not straying as far off plan as you think. I let myself eat whatever I wanted last weekend (and I took advantage of it) but then I realized that maybe I added an extra 3000 calories. That’s less than 1 pound. Not great, but not worth getting too upset over. So do the best you can for right now and when you find or create your motivation again only look forward. We’re here for you.

You can do this! Like Judy said.. if you believe you can, you can! If you keep telling yourself that u cant, you wont. So be positive.

I am feeling pretty much the same. I know how hard it is, and will be… but the alternative of staying fat (and getting fatter) is even worse.

You know, there is a thing I read once about how people do these really scary and hard things - it’s not always about believing you can do it or having the positive attitude or “being bigger than the fear (or pain)” — you just need to ACT AS IF… Act as if you were able to, act as if you were motivated, act as if you believed in yourself. ACT.

This thought has helped me a lot in my life in various circumstances, and is no small part of what is pushing me to start again now (yes, I’m on another “Day One”)… I often can’t force myself to believe I can, but I can manage to force myself to “ACT AS IF” I could…

Sister, not only CAN you do this but you ARE going to. I have faith in you. If only I could push that in my brain a little more. Fake it…when all else fails. FAKE IT. It’s alot better than giving up. Now, the question is…are you more tired of eating healthy, or are you more tired of buying ‘fat clothes’? Do you want the ice cream or do you want to live longer? It’s an easy decision, you just need to rid your mind of all the negative thoughts, and focus on what your Goal is. If it’s being healthier, think nothing but healthy thoughts, if it’s being able to run up stairs (which I will be able to do one day) think about ways to improve your daily activity. Get the book “The Secret”….I think if you start believing that you CAN instead of focusing on “I CANT” you will see improvement immediately! Stay with this…the reward is worth the torcher.

You can do this! That thought crosses my mind all the time that I will NEVER lose this weight, but if I give up, that’s the only way that will be true. Dont give up , girl!!
