3/4

Posted by: getupnow In: General

I just realized today while sitting in the dentist office bored and waiting on my daughter to be done that I am ¾ of my former self. Actually, slightly less. I have lost 26% of the old me. My weight was 147.8 this morning.

I walked one mile and ran four miles today. Although, my time was probably a record for my four miles. A record for being my slowest four miles ever. Oh well. I would just stop timing myself because I know that for my health, it doesn’t really matter how long it takes me. It just matters that I do it. However, there are a lot of times when the idea of getting to check my time is what keeps me from stopping. I want to get to that whole four miles so that I can compare it to the other day, that kind of thing. So I will keep on timing myself, I guess.

Y’all crack me up. I love your comments. And I am expecting periwinkle to pull in the driveway any time now to assist me in destroying my fat jeans.  ;-)  In fact, a fat jean bonfire with all y’all would be awesome, so come on down!

Breakfast was the norm. and when I finally get my blogging fix and can have lunch, it will be the norm too. The fruit is not looking as good these days. Ohhh…the whoas of fall/winter. Dinner will be tilapia sandwiches. The fam will have sweet potato fries, but I will probably have refried beans with mine. Just found out my brother is bringing my mom down today. So I better get back to the store for some more hoagie rolls.

Congrats on the 25% loss - cool!! It didn’t occur to me, to think about the math of my loss so far, so you inspired me to take a look and wooohooo a few days ago I passed up 10%! Yay! Whoda thunk?!

Oh, and by the way I LOVE the hat! And the shirt!

YOU… omg you are gorgeous! (I cracked up at the photoshopping - good job!)

Hey! Where’d ya go??? OH!…There you are…sheesh…I was looking for somebody 26% bigger than you! Needed my reading glasses to find ya!

If it keeps you running then wear all the darned timers ya want. Time the living daylights out of those runs, my good woman! Plaster yourself with watches, timers, bells, whistles, egg timers…it’s your run! Yours!!! As in you!
You runner you! :)

Wow! I’m so impressed with you & no less impressed just cause there’s less of you.

I hope everything goes well at the doctor’s. I’m sure your mom will be fine, especially since you’ll be there with her!

OH, man! I can’t do the fat jeans bonfire because I’m still trying to get into my fat jeans! LOL At some point, I quit buying jeans (wonder why??) nevertheless… CONGRATS on your 26% plus - that is so awesome. Someday if you have time you might want to read the book *The Courage to Start* which is by a runner who didn’t run for 20 years because he was slow then started running again and loves it. He talks about the folks at the back of the pack and how they work just as hard as the ones in front, and some people just aren’t fast. It may not apply to you but still does to me! Let us know about your mom. Delita
