Weight loss and stick shifts.

Posted by: getupnow In: General

You know how it goes when someone is learning to drive a standard? It is this slow, stall, gear grinding misery followed by sudden bursts forward.

That is how my weight loss is in the 170’s. Sometimes I think that when I am doing all the right things, my body IS losing fat even if it is masked by biological functions. Just recently, I was talking about how I was barely dropping a pound a week (on a 1,500 calorie a day diet with 30-60 minutes of exercise or more every single day). Then suddenly I drop a pound a day? Obviously, that is not humanly possible. So I need to remember when things are going slowly that I will have another spurt. That seems to be the pattern anyway and it is not so bad, really. The slow times are frustrating, but if I anticipate the kind of pounds dropping that I have had this week I can get through it. Then there are some serious naked fat lady bathroom happy dances taking place once I do have my little spurts.

My appointment is tomorrow! SQUEEEE!!!  I have never been so happy to have blood sucked from my arm :)
