Just 5 Minutes
Met with the weight management director yesterday to keep us all on track and motivated. One of the things she encouraged us to do that sounds so simple but so challenging is to take just five minutes a week for ourselves and identify goals for the coming week. Five minutes. That’s it. Take that time, give it to yourself, think about the week gone by and the week ahead, and set some goals.
I tend to do off-the-top-of-my-head goals. Five minutes is nothing, but have I EVER actually spent a solid five minutes thinking through what happened last week and what (in light of that) I want my goals to be for the coming week?
I have been saying that my goal for the coming week (vacation) is to maintain my current weight (no gain) and try to be active. That ‘try’ word is squidgy….

Evening note: when I checked in on the digiscale I was up a pound — at the end of a very long day (but before supper) I was down one (140). Scales can record weights varying by 3 pounds/day…..
