Monday Morning

Monday Morning (CJ Dennis, 1930)

I often pause to contemplate
The sadly barren mental state
Of persons whom it is my fate
   To meet on Monday morning.
They should be, after Sunday’s rest,
Alert, clear-minded, full of zest;
But everywhere they are oppressed,
   Bad-tempered, dull and yawning…..

 Actually, I generally do feel rather “clear-minded” on Monday morning, though “full of zest” might be a stretch. And today the sun’s out, which definitely helps! Rumor has it that the temps will get close to 50 by the time the workday is done, so I’m planning to walk home and get in a little cardio that way.

AM Weights:

bicep curls  3×12 (5′)

side raises 3×10 (5′)

rows 3×12 (5′)

PM: 45 mins brisk walk (home!)

B (6:30 AM): Kashi Go Lean w/blueberries and soy milk; coffee w/soy milk

Sn (10 AM): lofat string cheese; water

L (12 PM): leancuisine salmon/wholewheatpasta/broccoli dish

Sn (1:30 PM): 1 Hershey’s kiss — got the shakes again and thought some quick sugar would  help. What’s up with the shakiness? I think my intake today has been solid…. The Kashi, the string cheese, and the salmon are all decent protein sources. I’ve had more than 20 oz water.

Sn (6:30 PM): This is either first course of supper or a snack, so I’m gonna say Snack! Shredded wheat (whole wheat) w/1% milk and 1/2 a banana.

S (7:30 PM): battered cod w/salsa (~150 cals); water

    Hmm, I know you’ve gotten a lot of suggestions for the shakiness, but now you’ve tried everything. Can you speak to a doctor about it? maybe its low-blood-pressure or something?
