doing it anyway
That’s the title of day 3 of the book and I did do it anyway. No real choice in the matter, though food is very, very boring at the moment. I was lying in bed after a day so cold that it actually snowed here yesterday and I was thinking about how I didn’t want to get up. Couldn’t have nice porridgy stuff for breakfast, just a shake and a cuppa tea.
Boooooring.
Yesterday, despite the fact that it was snowing I was actually looking forward to having a salad for dinner. How sad is that? I didn’t get to see the snow because I was at work, but Beloved was coming after work so that we could watch a movie, and we decided to have dinnner at Nando’s. Well, I did, anyway. And the biggest thing for me was that I would have an actual salad. I do like their salads, lots of nice, bright green leaves and red tomatoes. Very pretty, as a salad should be. But not snowy weather fare. Except for me. Yesterday.
Today I’m having eggplant. I loooooove eggplant.
The movie we saw last night was Wanted. Angelin Jolie. Morgan Freeman. I swear that man was born between the pages of a comic book. Totally loved the movie.

There’s my almond tree. Or at least, I hope there is my almond tree. Is it just me, or have 3fc changed the editing page thingy?
InĀ a few weeks I hope it will be more like

I hope my tree brings a few

into my garden and that someday it will look like this

As always, thank you for your comments on my blogs.
Patty, you are right about the cost of the operation. It is actually $13,500 but my private health insurance is paying $10,000. Otherwise I would not be able to afford the op. Beloved is such a sweetie. We had actually saved that money because he thought it might be a good idea to try some investments. He says we are investing in my old age. The man is a treasure.
I was sad to read about your trees all dying. Mine haven’t had the best of luck, either, but I’m hoping the bokashi will help.
Big Prof, yeah, this diet is kind of a fast thing. It’s supposed to shrink my liver so the doc has a bit more elbow room during the operation.
Gotta love a small liver!
