Yes. In 10 minutes we’re headed down the hill to see the surgeon and find out if I have the all-clear for the operation.

I’m excited.

I’ve started on the Optifast diet and it’s not exactly plain sailing. On Monday I got taken out for lunch and oh, my, I did enjoy myself very much. Yesterday I was doing okay, but by lunchtime I was so hungry I was actually in pain. No kidding. It hurt. Well, I was going to see a movie and had had these pure thoughts of just buying a bottle of water to keep the boss happy but in the end I was all “oh bugger it” and I went to popcorn and diet Coke to go with my Optifast bar.

Thanks everyone for your kind thoughts after my last blog. Here’s a picture of me with Evil Twin at a writing workshop we led on Saturday. Am I going to miss looking like that? Let me think… HELL NO!
