return of the angry 3 year old
Just me and Poss home tonight. She’s out there, doing stuff and not really caring but I’M EXPECTED TO MAKE DINNER AND I DON’T WANT TO.
I’m not hungry and I don’t want to cook.
How come I don’t have the right to not eat?
angreeeeeeeeeeeee

But you DO have the right, dear feathers - if Poss is the only one home and doesn’t really care, then whyever must you cook - and eat - if you don’t feel like it? Surely Poss can put together a sandwich or some cereal or heat up some soup for herself if she wants to. Can’t you do the same? Or not. Actually, you have the right not to eat even if EVERYBODY was home, you know. I didn’t see any babies in your family pics. Everyone seems perfectly capble of feeding themselves once in a while. Is this about their expectations of you, or your expectations of yourself?
There, the (old) former therapist strikes again. The (old) former therapist and opinionated old crone, that is. I just hate seeing your three-year-old come out over something that seems so fixable, you know? Now losing the damned weight - yeah. Angry three-year olds R us - but about cooking and/or eating when we DON’T feel like it? Hell, not feeling like it is cause for celebration! Revel in it, for gawd’s sake! Teach your significant others to revel along with you (as they stand at the kitchen counter scrabbling together something for themselves to eat, I mean).
Hugs,
Z
I agree, Feathers. I have two 17 year old grandsons who live with us and we occasionally have “fend for yourselves” nights. They have no problem fixing a frozen pizza for themselves and there are always cans of soup, frozen entrees, etc. for anyone who’s hungry.
If I’m not hungry, I don’t eat! That means I frequently hear about “getting your metabolism going with a good breakfast” but I’m not eating if I don’t want to.
Like the drug thing…”Just say NO!”
Hope you didn’t end up cooking! That happens to me, too. I’m learning to say, sorry, but nope! Kitchen’s all yours tonight…..
Yeah, I agree with everyone else here…in this case, let that three-year-old have her way & flat out refuse to cook…
time for sweetie poss to start creating her own POSSibilities
damn, I wish I had that problem - not wanting to eat.
hmmmmm.
damn, I wish someone was obligated to cook for me.
I also wish I would win the lotto.
where am i going with this again?
