I survived!!
I survived the dentist! It was a tough battle, but I did it. My son did just fine as well. They let him come in and watch what they did to me. I have one cavity and he had 2. So we go back in October. The dentist told me she would give him Nitrous Oxide because of his age. I asked if I could get it too because I can’t even think about a needle coming near my mouth. She said my cavity is so small that she can use it as well for me. Insurance doesn’t pay for it, but I don’t care!!
Periwinkle, I too have dreams about my teeth falling out. I haven’t had one in awhile, but I have had them. I remember the last time I went to the dentist, many many moons ago, they had a questionaire and that was one of the questions. It’s supposed to mean something, but I don’t remember what. Too funny!!
No gym for me this morning. Hubby is working from home so I had to take daughter to daycare since I work close by. I’ll have to find something to do today for exercise. Perhaps I’ll go run around the lake when I take my son to church tonight.
Calories were good yesterday. 1374 total. It’s within my range but I still feel it too high. I’m trying this though to see if it works… actually getting enough calories to lose the weight. Open mind. Today will be a struggle though. Remember how I said I would miss out on lunch because of the dentist? Yeah, they waited until today to go b/c it’s another person’s birthday today. Ugh. I’m going to try to find out where we are going and see if the nutritional info is online. If not, I guess I’ll just get a salad. Did you hear me stomach? I’M ONLY GOING TO GET A SALAD!!!
Okay, okay I didn’t really just get a salad. BUT, I did better than normal. We went to chili’s and they had some REALLY good crispy buffalo chicken tacos that looked REALLY REALLY GOOD - BUT, I opted for the Chicken Ceasar Pita with…. STEAMED VEGGIES! No fries for me today. That is a step in the right direction. The pita is only 650 calores (well, I guess that’s a lot, but not as much as some things there) so I feel good about it. Of course, I still feel hungry, but I don’t feel that sick full feeling. I may be a little higher today on calories, but I don’t think I’ll go over the alloted 1550.

Good for you! The pita sounds yummy. And the veggies, too! I would have been tempted by the buffalo chicken tacos too. There are times when I really wish I could eat those chicken strips that are fried and soaked in buffalo sauce. I may have to get some at the store, now that I think about it. I don’t suppose they are bad unless they are fried in bad fat and I have a good recipe for blue cheese dressing. Oh I am so hungry right now.

What’s this? You survived? Imagine that! LOLOL!!! Whew…and what a relief I’m not the only “toothless dreamer”!
Way to pick em at the restaurant. I think you’re one tough cookie!
I’m still trying to beat it into my head that a restaurant lunch isn’t a ticket to eat the menu!
Did you try some speed work yesterday?
