Just another 3fatchicks.com weblog

Yep. DS is still asleep, but it’s only 9:08. I doubt he’ll be up before another hour or more. Yesterday, he slept until noon, poor thing, and then we had brekkie together; DD came over from next door, and I made everybody egg beater omelets with sauteed onions, red peppers, green peppers and FF cheese. Made one concession to taste as opposed to weight-consciousness and gave them Jones sausage patties, which, if you’re going to eat sausage, is about the best you can get in terms of ingredients. Also, the bagels & FF cream cheese. I had made myself a whey-soy shake earlier, so I didn’t eat any of it. Yay me, huh? Odd, but I’m not feeling at all deprived with my new eating style; I really am finding that the old “good stuff” just isn’t appealing to me like it used to. went out to run a few errands - DS had a suit to drop off at the cleaners, wanted to get his hair trimmed, and I picked up a few more groceries. By the time we got home, DD30 & her DH & poor little Morgan with her broken wing had arrived, DD came back over with her little boy, and they were all geared up to order Chinese food. I made chef’s salads again for DH & I. NO desire whatsoever for the Chiese, even though I’ve spent a majority of my adult life thinking of it as a real “treat”. Interestingly, everyone looked at our salads with envy, and encouraged me to scrap my plans for having “pasta night” tonight, and make everyone chef’s salads instead. Hmmmmm. Could it be that my new healthier eating style is “catching”???? Well, we’ll see about that, won’t we?

Yes. Both DH & I are definitely smaller. HIS pants fell down off his hips when he got up from the computer the other day. Pretty amazing. I DO share your difficulty in getting myself to exercise, though, Feathers. Given any sort of excuse, I’d just as soon not. It’s still requiring some pushing and prodding, so that *desire* to exercise hasn’t quite taken hold yet. The kids DID have some dance music playing last night, though - what’s a party without dance music, right? And, hey, I danced for about twenty minutes, so that counts, eh?

DH & DS are talking about going to the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston today or tomorrow; DS says there’s an Obama rally there over the weekend that he’d like to catch, and I really don’t know what else might be on the agenda.

More grocery shopping today for me if everybody wants chef’s salads tonight.

Nice not to have to get up for work. Can’t deny that. I could easily become adjusted, I think, to this sort of lifestyle in a few more years.

Take good care, my jewels,

Z

Z - thanks for the compliment on my wedding site - -big grins!!! I really have to take the time and check out this Gabriel thing. Love that both your clothes are falling off. I made a decision the other day that works for me — I am no longer going just down the hall to the washroom - I will now force myself to go upstairs. Have done so for two days in a row (lol WOW). I figure its the small changes that add up. Well gotta run over to another building - way the heck and gone the other side of the campus - YAY!!!

Hey, that salad sounds delish, and I’m taking it in that you’re new eating style is becoming your preference. It can be done!
Dancing for 20 minutes is a really fun, great calorie burner.
    Have a lovely week-end ella….Ruby

Hee hee, Ihave this picture in my mind of your DH getting up and his pants going south. It’s a tribute to the great weight loss work you’re both doing. Those salads sounded fabby. Would love you to post the recipe.
