Just another 3fatchicks.com weblog

dscn0892b.jpg So this is me in case you were wondering. In case I was wondering, I guess. This blogging stuff is pretty interesting. Nobody reads ‘em but whoever writes ‘em, evidently, and that’s kind of neat in a way. You could pretty much reveal all your deepest, darkest secrets and nobody would be the wiser. Maybe I’ll just do that. Hey! I took quite a long bike ride today! AND I stayed well within my allowable calorie range. Hopefully, I’m losing some weight, here. If I weren’t such a wuss, I’d go ahead and weigh myself, but I’m waiting until next weekend…trying to work my way up to stepping on the scale. Last time I looked, I’d lost 22 pounds. That was BEFORE my son came home from L.A. for a visit. While he was here, I’m afraid I ate WAY off the charts. Well, Not that far off, and I kept up my daily bike rides, but I did go off-plan, and that’s the truth. Jumped right back on the wagon, though, and plan to stay on it until I take off the second (and last) 22 pounds, and even then, I’ll continue to eat healthy, high fiber and lower calorie foods than I used to eat. I can’t afford to gain any weight back this time around. I’m too danged old. When I die, I want to be cremated, and I want my ashes to be put in one of those old cast iron Mister Peanut banks. I don’t know why. It just strikes me as the thing to do.

Ann and Anngirl: thanks much for your comments. Being verbose by nature, and having found this wonderful outlet for “journaling” (Or, in other words, kvetching, complaining and carrying on) I do believe that I shall be around for a while to come. I’m just now responding to your comments because I just now realized how to do it. I’m a slow learner, and a complete technophobe. Love it when something “clicks” and I figure out how to do it, but typically won’t try anything that seems even slightly complex. In FACT, my SON just told me when he was home visiting that the little wheel thing on the mouse can be used to scroll up and down a page. What??? Omigawd! What a revelation!
Anyway, thanks much to you both; it was nice hearing from you.
