Goals. Hmm. They need to be realistic. For the short term up the water, up the movement, keep up the supplements, keep up the affirmations.

KB and I made an exercise pact. Starting Tues going to work out at work 15 mins during lunch at least 3 days a week. The hope is to eventually add 15 or more mins at home up to twice daily. Mini workouts being better than no workout. Different types for muscle confusion.

The goals have been ill defined at the start of this. More about healthier choices. But I’ve plateaued. It’s time to get more specific.

For the September points challenge going to try:

48 oz of water minimum per day - this is only 2 of the sports bottles that I drink and I frequently drink this but for some reason like the exercise when I make it a requirement I don’t do so well at it

15 minutes of exercise minimum per day - this is really minimal, but scares the hell out of me.

Eat on plan - I need to define the on plan. Will look at the IR Diet today. I know I need to include “bad stuff” in the plan b/c I am having a hard time giving up dessert. But I need to define the plan. More on that later.

So I got the book and started reading it. My first goal for eating is to link at every meal, if not yet to balance.

We got a PUR pitcher for the fridge yesterday so I can cut down on buying bottled water. I will get a couple of “good plastic” bottles and use them in the car. At home I’ll just use our tumblers. At work I’ll use their bottled water :)Hopefully this will make the water intake easier.

I have set myself a mini goal of losing 5 lbs in September.

I’m having an A1C done in January. I want a good one. Got my test strips yesterday. Now I just need to figure out what’s going on and when.

I have already blown away my Sept mini goal. As of today I have lost 9 lbs in September. This means I am only 1 lb away from my Halloween goal.
Now to focus on training for this Columbus day 5k. Eeek! Gotta get going on that. I have no doubt I can do it if I set my mind to it.
