<p>I did have a bit of an issue this week, with stomach illness. We shall see what that does to my WI next Saturday. Especially since my recovery included enchiladas <img src='http://3fatchicks.com/diet-blogs/cp33/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif' alt=';)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p>This week&#8217;s mini-goal will be to return to normal and try to hit the 15 pound weight loss mark. Next mini-goal is 20 pounds!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I went to a mid-week WI yesterday - lost 4 more pounds!!! I have now exceeded my mini-goal of 10 pounds! Next stop, 20 pounds (8 to go). And, I am in fat burning mode, so that is excellent. I am starting to get kind of worn out on the diet, which means I need diversity. I have to start using the MRC cookbook and spicing it up!</p>
<p>In other news, which might drive me to drink (JK), Brett Favre is now a NY Jet. *Gag* - I could just die. But I will move forward as a Packers fan and a Favre fan. And I will not drink - because losing weight is more important than any damn football <img src='http://3fatchicks.com/diet-blogs/cp33/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif' alt=';)' class='wp-smiley' /></p>

I&#8217;m on the beige menu. The only adjustment is the bread-free lunch. I also bought the supplements. So far, Kiwi-Melon is great, but the powders are yuck-o. I&#8217;m [...]]]></description>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I&#8217;ve finally decided to make a major lifestyle change and plunge into the world of weight loss. Here is a quick bio . . .</p>
<p>I grew up being long and lean, 5&#8242;10&#8243; tall and 135 lbs. in high school. I finally &#8220;plumped&#8221; to a healthy 180 pounds in my mid-late twenties. I was very active, playing competitive sports (basketball) and hiking/running. I was blessed with a gorgeous son at age 28/29 and ended up gaining 50 pounds. I also lost interest in athleticsm and activity. I continued to gain to where I am now. Let&#8217;s just say I need to lose 65.5 pounds to be back to my healthy 180!! Yikes.</p>
<p>Where did all the weight come from? Well, the obvious is food. I love food. I also got too fat to enjoy activity and exercise - now known as &#8220;movement.&#8221; And the third strike was alcohol. The social past-time I once enjoyed without guilt has now become a caloric nightmare.</p>
<p>Fast forward to present . . .</p>
<p>I have a dog, Betty. A cute 12 pound runner. She leaps out the door the minute she sees an opening. My son (now 5) cries and I attempt to retrieve. On my last attempt at retrieval, I was &#8220;jogging&#8221; after her and realized - I am too fat to run. I can no longer run without feeling my weight press down on my knees, my breasts painfully pummel my rib cage and my body just - rejects the attempt at movement.</p>
<p>I promptly called my friend, and asked her for the information on Metabolic Research Center. She joined in January 2008, and has lost a ton of weight in a seemingly small amount of time. I figure, if she can do it - so can I!</p>
<p>I joined MRC on July 17, 2008. From here on, you will read about the ups and downs - hopefully mostly downs <img src='http://3fatchicks.com/diet-blogs/cp33/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /></p>
