I have been keeping a physical food log. I have a weekly calendar that I print out to keep track of everything.
Yesterday, I signed up for some college classes. I have a teaching certificate but haven’t been able to get my own classroom. Anyone who says there’s a teacher shortage is lying. There may be a shortage in a certain subject area, but give it a year and there’ll be an overflow of recent grads in that area. I’ve been working as a sub, but it’s time to get something else going. Sooo I’ve decided to take classes in a different field. I plan on keeping subbing, if only for the flexible schedule. I enjoy working with the kids, but I feel like I’m going nowhere.

In an effort to start the year off right, I’m going to post a food diary everday for January. Next month, I’ll do another activity everyday, and so on for the following months. I may focus on water, exercise, cleaning, or something else entirely.

Internet probs, the holidays, and pure laziness ended the 28 day challenge early. Since then, I’ve dropped back into my old ways. Laundry has piled up, ready to be put up. On a scale of 1-10, 1 being spotless and 10 being can’t see the floor. I’m currently at a 5. I weighed in at 159 last week. I’m either not eating or eating too much to make up for not eating. Of course with the holidays so near sweets are plentiful and easy to get to.
Because I do not want to set myself up for failure, I will wait until after Christmas to start back seriously on a diet. I will try and eat ok, but I’m not weighing in or counting until after X-mas. However, I will exercise. Today, I just bought ‘Jullian Michaels’ 30 Day Shred’ Workout. I did it tonight, and -wow- was it tough. I found that I could not do all of workout #1. I found the jumping jacks and jumping ‘rope’ portion very uncomfortable. I almost stopped before I really got into the workout. Annoyed I took after my shoes, just in time to start on the next set. I finished the remainder of the workout. I’m going to have to work my way up to the jumping parts, and use the ff button to keep the momentum going. Additionally, I think I’m having posture probs. Soo, just the typical probs of a new vid.

Won’t be able to salvage my day. For the past week I’ve been craving a Chicken-Fried Chicken Sandwich on a Jalapena bread. So I gave in and bought one, and even had steak fries with it. I will have a decent dinner and snack later. The sandwich was from a cafe so I’m not sure how bad the cals are, just that they must be high.

Just spent the past hour or so doing prep work for Thanksgiving. I made 2 pans of cornbread(for dressing), boiled a dozen eggs(deviled eggs and 2 for gravy), made a cake, and cut up veggies(for veggie tray). I’m not a big pie or cake eater.

At about 11:30, I took the dog out for a 30 min. walk. Finished a few min. early due to Max giving up. He stopped by the steps and wouldn’t go another round. As soon as I took him off the leash, he ran around the living room like crazy. Typical!
Decided to go ahead and do laundry. Last night I swept and mopped the floors. Couple more things I should do, but may wait and give myself something to do tomorrow:)

Today’s just a lazy day. I ate lunch late, and since I was out I stopped by Taco Bell. I didn’t blow all my cals there, just 600 or so. Also, had a handful of peanuts and two chips. For dinner a bowl of homemade beef and veggie soup. Will prob. get a 100 cal. ice cream cup and maybe a 100 cal pretzel bag. Hot chocolate also sounds good. Almost feel like taking the day off. Just no ethusiasm tonight. Down .5 this morning, for total of 5 lbs. Happy I’m going down, but….. can’t get excited right now.
