Fighting the Dark Cloud of pudge!!

a journey into the psyche of weight gain

Dresses

Well we did look at dresses yesterday.  It was packed there…millions of people and dresses.  I saw two (of about 6- 8 I tried on) I could live with, but I could also live without them.  So I did not buy anything.  Just like when I was normal weight, strapless does not suit me.  My shoulders are way too big (naturally) and halters are the better neckline for me.  The overall experience was not as horrific as I imagined and I did not look as HUGE as I imagined I would.  So that was a positive thing.

I decided that if I bought one now that I sorta liked I would not be as encouraged to lose the weight.  And really, even halters do not look great with a large back!  Apparently if I go with an actual bridal dress, I need to chose it be the middle of next month at the latest.  If I go with a white bridesmaid dress, I can wait until March break.  Things to consider.

Meanwhile, maintained the loss today!

Oh and I had an excellent evaluation yesterday!

Cheers!

Yeah! Don’t settle for a dress that you just barely like. I’ve given up buying clothes like that. It was okay when I was bigger and couldn’t find things that fit. Now either it wows me or away it goes! :D

It said: congratulations on the excellent evaluation and on maintaining the lost pound, and ,if you don’t LOVE the dress, don’t buy it, hold out for something you’re going to love!

Ditto from me. Wait until you find something that you feel great wearing. You’re worth it!
