Honesty is the best policy
at least for me.
I gained 3 pounds this week!
I lost 3 pounds last week, guess this week they found me! hee hee
When I began this weight loss journey in February 2007 I committed myself to being very honest about my weigh ins. I wasn’t going to skip a week because of TOM or if I had eaten bad. I take the good with the bad. No game playing or dodging the scale for me.
This weight loss journey in more than just losing weight. It’s helped me in numerous other ways. My outlook is more positive, I feel I have a natural healthy glow about myself and my self esteem is getting better.
Let me look over my week and see if I can detect why I might have gained those 3 pounds I lost last week. Well my exercise is completely cut in half. My son will return to school September 3 and that’s when I can resume my normal daily exercises. I drank over 1000 ounces of water, maybe that is too much for me! I do not eat high sodium foods. Oh, wait maybe it was the way too many handfuls of M&M’s!
Anyway, I remain committed and honest and I march forward.
It’s taken me 16+ months to lose 50 pounds. Luckily, I am in no hurry, don’t have to go to a reunion or fit into a dress. Slow and steady wins the race, so I’ve heard.
