Back away from the machine
I got to the gym today and both treadclimbers were occupied. Did these men (yes, there were men in the cardio section) not realize that I had a reservation at 3:00 for these beautiful machines???? I honestly panicked a little bit, and then realized that I could do something else. So I hopped back on the stationary bike and pedaled my heart away until they finished, 4 miles and 16 minutes (and 179calories) later. Then I was able to fit in 45 minutes on the treadclimber, burning 850 calories. As I was finishing up, another guy hopped on the treadclimber next to me (yes, another guy in the cardio section) and I think he may have been hitting on me. I’m still not used to that, but it’s nice to pretend even if he was just being friendly.
Right now I’m extremely proud of myself b/c I’m making good choices about food. I always have a snack when I get home from the gym and today I was actually feeling lightheaded while working out, so much so that I cut my workout about 5 minutes short. Anyway, I had a Fiber One bar and after that I was still hungry. It was the “perfect storm” for binging b/c I was by myself. I chose a low-fat cheese stick wrapped in turkey. Yay, me!
Progress toward workout goal: 41/250
You are doing so fantastic. You made some great choices in some hard times! You got on the bike to wait for a machine. Good for you! Plus you chose a healthy snack when hungry. You should be proud of yourself. Keep it up!

Stupid men stealing your machine! Good for you for getting on the bike. I would have probably pouted and then left. And then ate a cake. Or a meatloaf. And blamed it all on the stupid men.
So Yay for you!
Couldn’t the see you name card on that machine? MEN.
Congrats on your good choices. Keep up the good work.
You’re fantastic! Of course that guy was hitting on you, you beautiful creature! Want me to introduce you to Habitat Guy?
You faced several challenges today and you succeeded in meeting every one! Yay, Brandie!
Ah yes, I know all too well the feeling of panic when one of MY machines are used. So much so that I got a second membership at another gym ‘just in case’. Which is really kicking my butt into working out, all that money. I justify it by claiming that one gym is for weights, the other cardio.
So guys creeped on your space and then hit on you?! Wow. I can’t tell anymore either if guys are hitting on me, but then again I never could unless they’re pretty blatant about it, like directly asking if I’d care for an afternoon delight.
Good choices today! Yay for you!
Yea, you! Yes you are doing great. To most men, being able to have a friendly conversation with a good looking woman is a kind of win - they love it! Good choices, both on throwing yourself into another machine without whining (good gym vibes) and also on the food. I make sure I’ve had good protein within 2 hours of working out and then have a good-for-me-snack or meal available after. I used to have exercise-induced hypoglycemia but no more, as long as I do this.
