No more excuses
OK, I’ll try this again. When I tried to post it before my writings disappeared.
Long story short, today is the day all of my excuses are gone. Life gets back to a regular schedule, so if I make bad choices they’re all mine. I’m actually relieved, I want to get back on track.
Here’s the plan. M-F I’ll get up at 5:00 and do 10 minutes of a Pilates DVD. They each focus on a different body part so it will give me some good toning. Even though they don’t burn a ton of calories they do work well to make body parts smaller. Then I’ll go to the gym after school for about 90 minutes. MWF I’ll lift weights and then spend the remainder of the time on cardio (about 45 minutes). T/TH I’ll spend at least 60 min on cardio and then end w/a good stretch and ab work. I will allow myself to miss 1 workout during the week if absolutely necessary for appointments, but even then I’ll try to schedule them so that I can get in at least 30 minutes at the gym. On the weekends I will get in at least 1 workout.
For food, I’ll follow my 3 Hour Diet by Jorge Cruise. I do well if I eat similar food all of the time so I have breakfast and lunch set. Supper will be a series of frozen meals, veggies and cottage cheese. My after supper snack is a sugar free chocolate pudding. I do love that pudding!!
I’m going to focus on my behavior so I haven’t set any weight goals but I think I will, as soon as I have a chance to see what’s realistic for me.

I ate well today and got to the gym after school. I did 2 sets of all of my weight workouts and then got in 55 minutes on the treadclimber. We have fresh tomatoes right now so I had 2 big ones w/my WW frozen meal. It’s amazing how much better fresh veggies taste than the ones at the store.
Progress toward workout goal: 36/250

Hey!
I wanted to stop in and say hello. I haven’t got to read all your of your blog but am working on it. I went back to your first and second months and then read your first. Glad to see you’re motivated again and wish you continued success.
You do have a lot to deal with, and I’ll keep your family in my thoughts and prayers. Being healthy will sure help you mentally and physically through your son’s neurological problems I would think. I don’t have children but know this must be really tough on you all. Keep the faith and keep getting stronger.
Hey, I’m really impressed with the treadclimber and the calories burned. Like you though, my husband would shoot me if I brought another piece of equipment in which is why I need to renew my gym membership. I’m hoping they might have one there. As for the Fluidity, I haven’t even tried it yet. I’ve had it for months and just sat it up. I put the beginner DVD in my computer and now can’t find it for the life of me, so I’m hoping to do that before day’s end. I’m sure it’s mixed in with my work CDs here somewhere in this office/workout room. I thought about starting with the intermediate and decided that might not be a great idea. I think I’ll like it. I love stretching and toning, and my body seems to respond to resistance-type exercising, especially if I’m using my own body weight. I had a Pilates Reformer and slimmed down pretty rapidly using that and good food choices. I lost 30 lbs in 90 days. Unfortunately, the Reformer just took up too much space and I really needed cardio in my regimen, so it said bye-bye and in came the treadmill. I will let you know though when I do try it, and thanks for the update on the treadclimber.
Keep up the great work and hope to see you’re renewed interest brings nice results. I’m sure it will.
My self-appointed coffee break is over so I’d better get to the dishes and laundry before work calls me. They’ve left me hanging about training on a new account so I’m making the most of my downtime and catching up around the house.
This is my new favorite place, so I’m sure we’ll chat again. Btw, you have a really nice variety going with your exercise regimen. Great job, and have a really nice day!
Sounds like you are ready to take control. Watch out! What did your friend and hubby say about the dresses? I’ll be you are by far your own worst critic. If you need honesty, do some self-photos here and we’ll set you straight!
Funny you should mention that! Eating similar food. I’m the same way. Everything was going great for me when my choices were limited. I was so happy then…sigh…
After camping this week I am going back to running a tight ship! I want back on track, too!
Hey there
Sounds like a lot of working out! Dont get burned out, hon. I personally set me 3 times per week workouts for the first mo and will try to build on that.
Pilates is great, I had taken few classes in past 3 weeks. Unfortunately it is not a fat burning activity but it builds core strengh and flexibility which is great.
Keep it up!
Good for you setting the new goals. You will do great.

How’s school going, Brandie? Have the kids come back yet? Are you settling into any kind of routine?
I was afraid to cut today. What if I’d gotten picked up by the truancy officer? Can you imagine the headlines?
