What happened???
I think I just consumed a days worth of calories in under an hour. I had just posted about how well the day was going in spite of the fact that I didn’t get in my normal workout and I ate several small chocolates as well as the 4 leftover pieces of cake. Oh yeah, I found a single size pack of salted peanuts in the cupboard. Thank God we keep the junkfood pretty minimal around here b/c I know the only reason I stopped is b/c I ran out. I am an intelligent person, why can’t I figure out how to NOT put food in my mouth???
I have been there and done that a million times and will probably do it a few million more. I don’t know why binge eating happens - if I did I could probably keep it from happening.
Look at the bright side. You played with your metabolism a bit today. With all those calories it definitely will be a shake up. Now when you go back on plan tomorrow you’ll be jumpstarting the metabolism again.
Damn that sweet tooth!!! Probaby stressful picking and the sweets are your drug of choice. Mine too. All I can say is keep trying not to give into it and if you can win out enough times you will see the urges to binge become fewer and further apart, and not so strong.
Try it and you might be surprised to find that you won’t want the sweets afterwards! For me, it’s all about having a plan ready.
Try chowing down on a bowl or two of your favorite cereal first (All Bran with honey nut flavor, is mine) one with a little sweet before you give in and eat cake, etc. This has helped me so very much…all of that chewing and munching is what works! Those calories I can handle as they’re nothing compared to how quickly the the others can add up to a huge amount.
