fresh start
I have been AWOL for a while which typically means 1 thing when you’re dieting…you fell off the wagon. We went on vacation last week and it showed. But the good news is that not only am I dieting this time, my husband decided to join me. This will eliminate some of the problems I usually have because when I am trying to find something healthy to eat I have to stare past his potato chips, chocolate, etc. I have wanted him to diet with me for such a long time and finally struck up the nerve to bring it up. Instead of approaching it from a weight-loss point of view I tried his health. Lately he has been very tired even if he gets enough sleep and combined with a few other symptoms and a family history I worried that he might be diabetic. So I asked him to try the low-carb thing for 2 weeks and see if his energy improved. He agreed, but I secretly wondered how much effort he was going to put into it. To my surprise he has been a champ! He is constantly asking me if he can eat a particular food or what he should snack on. We are on day 3 so the majority of the cravings are gone and he is seeing results. He has lost 7 pounds and I have lost 6. Now if I can only get him to exercise………
