This is my last week of the 12 week weigh-in challenge and things haven’t gone too well. I’m glad it will be over. I’ve lost 7 pounds but it’s been up and down. Frankly, what I thought would help me ( stepping on the scale weekly) has hurt. I’m becoming too concerned with the scale - something I swore not to do - so it’s back to doing it by myself. We’ve started walking at night with the coming of spring, so I’m getting more exercise. Now I have to stop eating the bad stuff that’s slowly crept back in to my diet. At line dancing this week I think I must have lost a pound of sweat - hot and no air.
Keep plugging away!

I feel as if I’m FINALLY getting better in my ongoing battle with the health. I’ve totally ignored my diet and feasted on whatever I wanted, but now must return to reality. I’m on day 4 of my second round of antibiotics, and the doc got me 2 inhalers and nasonex for future problems. The coughing/hacking is down to a minimum. It seems I’m developing adult allergies/breathing problems. whoop de freakin’ do.
Made a big pot of bean soup this morning for later tonight, and I’m off with friends for a light thai lunch. It will feel great to get out and move around now that I can breathe. Tomorrow I’m off to a used book sale down the road to get some new business stock. It’ll be the 1st one I go to this year. With gas at $3.29 yesterday I’ve cut back on my roaming. Luckily I can walk to work and live within 10 minutes of everything I need, so I don’t spend much at the pumps. Oil companies aren’t getting rich off my $50(maybe) bucks a month!
I missed my weigh-in this last week due to folks coming in on train, but next week I believe is week 10. I’ve gotta say it’s been a disappointing 10 weeks. I think I was doing better on my own and this weekly weigh-in is making me too concerned about the scale - something I swore I wouldn’t do. I was going to sign up again, but have decided no and to use that time to exercise instead.
Hang in there everyone!

I’ve had a horrible month, but on day 4 of my antibiotics I’m finally starting to feel a little better. I don’t see how it’s possible there’s a single drop of fluid left in my head or lungs but I’m still getting stuff up and out where it belongs. Sleep last night was good, with the help of vicodin to let me relax and not cough the minute I lie down!
Lost 3 of the 5 pounds I gained due to constipation. My 21 day cleanse I had to stop because of the medicine but it seems to have helped. Now when the body FINALLY gets back on track I must do the following:
- EXERCISE YOU LAZY SLACKER! I can always come up with a reason not to go to yoga, but that has to stop. Must do something 5 days a week.
- EAT MORE OFTEN. Try to snack more and eat smaller meals.
- FIBER. I think I’ll have to start with fiber full or some type of water soluble additive.
I was eating pretty healthful, and with the visits of my healthy eating relatives on the horizon they’ll be helping me get back on track. Though I’ve only lost a total of 5 pounds in last 7 weeks I’ve lost 11 inches overall. Good deal!
