Hi All,
I had a very stressful month and a half - to make a long story short - it was involving my principal - I’m a teacher. They decided to give me a difficult time about moving from one bldg. to another. And accused me of stealing things.
However, I just read a blog - Roni’s Weigh - and it inspired me to write in this blog again.
Here’s the excerpt:
This weekend’s quotes is from Theodore Roosevelt.
Do what you can, with what you have, where you are.
This may seem generic at first but I think there is a lot to be learned in it’s simplicity.
How many times have we said things like…
I’ll start Sunday
Or
When the kids go back to school, I’ll…
Or
If I only had a treadmill I’d…
Or
After vacation I’ll…
I’m super guilty of this way of thinking and still do it to a point. When I saw that quote I thought, how simple but how true! We just have to make the choice that’s in front of us!
End of excerpt: I had the same reaction to that quote that Roni did - I have been waiting for school to start thinking that I will be on a regular schedule again and that I would start keeping track of what I eat and get back to exercising regularly.
School for teachers starts Mon. and so I will start a day early and write down what I eat tomorrow - it won’t be easy as I’ll be traveling home to PA from my daughter’s in WI - but I will do it!
