I want to be a loser

I have two running idols.  Mary Decker-Slaney and Steve Prefontaine. 

In today’s paper there was an article about Steve and I had tears by the time I got to the end of it.    This is the kind of article I need to read before each run.  I felt more inspired than ever.  Did I go for a run.  No.  But today was a nonscheduled run day.  I will think of this article next time I run. 
In the article it talks about a necklace his sister came up with.  And she sells it.  So I looked it up.  I liked it, then I saw the price.  Am I cheap?  Or is $60 a lot of money for a necklace.  Something else to add to my birthday list I guess.
