Alzheimer Sunday

Yesterday I ran 3.5 miles. Early. Had a busy day. Again. Woke up at 7am. Out the door by 7:15. Good run. I love this slow and gradual training. Came home, showered and headed out the door. Had plans with my mom to go shopping for my reunion outfit. Found some cute clothes. My daughter works for a major store and this weekend was family discount days. I took advantage of it. This was one of my best shopping trips too. Things were fitting. Things were on sale and I had money. Can’t get any better than that. I bought a grey pair of slacks, pair of jeans, dress, 2 tops(one fancy for reunion) and a pair of shoes for under $100. And I got $10 to spend the next time I shopped.
Kids had plans last night so dh and I went and saw Ghost Town. I really liked it. That guy is really funny. Had popcorn for dinner. Yogurt for dessert.
Today was the Alzheimer walk. Good to get together with family and walk together for my dad. 2 miles of walking and it took over one hour. So many people.
Tomorrow is a rest day. I will take it.

Nice score on the shopping! I am about ready for some new stuff… excited to say my size 14 pants are all gapping big time in the waste. Though I doubt I could get a 12 over my never-going-to-go-away lower belly. I did buy three pairs of shoes last week on a whim, though (all on sale), so my shopping days are going to be on hold.
I did my 3.5 today and it felt great. I love this schedule too. I was kind of worried about it being too easy, but I am embracing the easy days and the rest days now and love that when I do the longer runs, I don’t feel it in my knees and hips the way I was feeling it when I did those distances every day.
If I can make it through the rest of this 12 week program as well it has been so far, I am going to keep on going into the marathon training program. Can’t believe I am even saying that out loud.
