chugging along

Well, I’m still chugging along. Haven’t been using my fitday which may or may not prove to be a problem! We shall see on Saturday :-) I don’t feel that I’m eating differently. I had a few lunches that I didn’t know the cal counts for and got out of the habit.

Still having trouble with breakfast (making myself eat it!) Had hubby pick up some grapefruits for me tonight because whenever the urge hits to snack I love a grapefruit until peaches and things are back in season.

Stress at work and stress at home about work. But I will not let that get in the “weigh” of my goals. I’ve been doing more toning exercises lately. I can really feel my muscles. It’s pitiful! I can barely jog for 3 mins on the mini tramp and barely manage 15 situps. But I’m working on it daily!

  1. Glad to see you are chugging along — staying in it for the long haul can be difficult.

    I know what you mean about fitday (and other counting programs) - sometimes they are a lot of work, and sometimes you don’t know how to record something & those things can stop you. One of my key wt loss strategies is keeping a food diary, but I switch it up a lot - sometimes pen & paper, sometimes internet stuff, sometimes other software (I have a program on my cell phone, it’s convenient!). Through the years I’ve gotten less rigid in general - sometimes I just skip putting a meal in. Big deal. I’m not in a science experiment, this is my life. Tracking my food keeps me honest and on track, but when it adds stress, I just ditch it for that meal, and move on to the next one.
