I DID IT! I KICKED A$$!

I got my gum (seems to help keep my mouth from drying out), water, and cell phone and hopped on the treadmill. I did my 5 minute walk, had to run to the bathroom and pee AGAIN!! Then I got started. 4 mph.. 20 minutes.. I ran it! I made it! I sure felt like I was gonna die, but I did it!!!!!

I made it to 8 min.. like I did yesterday.. thought.. I made it this far yesterday.. lets try for 10. I made it to 10 and said well I made it 10, surely I can make it 5 more minutes. 15 will be good. So I made it to 15 and I said come on Jo every step from here is a victory.. and I did it!!!

Breakfast- 4 mini fig bars

Lunch- Lean pocket, corn on the cob, a 1/2 tsp of Promise and Diet Coke.

Dinner- Honeycomb, 2 % milk.

Snack- 1 slice wheat bread, 1 tsp pb, 8oz V8.

Slept in late again. Daltons sick! He sounds really croupy again. It seems the boys have been sick non stop since August. Bai had a pumpkin party today near the lake with his class. Of course it was only 29 degrees here this morning when they left so I couldnt take Dalton out and him sick in that weather. I was really mad/depressed. I wanted to go and spend time with Bailey. He is only in 1st grade once. But I knew it wouldnt be fair to take Dalton out and him end up with pneumonia. So I got Bai up and ready for school/trip. Michael followed the bus and went with them to the lake. He stayed for a couple hours before he had to go on in to work. I went back to bed with Dalton and slept til 12 again. Sat around and played on the computer til 2, loaded the washer, and headed out to pick Bai up from school. When we got home Bai said he had a great time but that he was exhausted. They had all kinds of fun games for them to do. They picked out a pumpkin and painted it and he was proudly showing it off. Dalton is super fussy today and I feel so bad for him. In return it makes me irritable cause I have to sit and hold him (not that I dont love him) I just have things I needed to do today. Finally once Bai got home he went to play in the toy room with Bailey. I got my dishes washed up and the house swept/mopped. I still need to vaccum the area rugs in the livngroom and kitchen. Oh and I need to clean the commode too (a daily thing when you have 3 guys in the house) apparently they dont know how to aim at all. Thats pretty much all Ill do in the house today. I may fold some clothes while watching The Biggest Loser tonight, but if I dont feel like it, I wont. Ah, the joys of a depressing day. This weather is killing me. I like fall but this is more like winter! I did have a NSV today. I pulled out my Old Navy (mens) sweats that I bought a couple years back and put them on today because they are thick and its cold as crap. They are a 2x and they swallowed me!!! I couldnt beleive it. Ill have to go diggin in Michaels closet for his XLs. I know they will swallow him now. He has lost 30 lbs (not that you could tell he even had 30 lbs extra on him to begin with). The scales were up this morning, yet again. I havent really ‘went’ to the bathroom in a couple days so that could be part of the issue, but still its really starting to tick me off! I better at least lose a lb this week!!!!

Ive managed to get the boys bathed and calmed down. They are in there watching Barney (of all things) at the moment. While they laid in there in the floor and played with trains I took the opportunity to jump up and work out. I did The Biggest Loser high impact and then turned around and did the boot camp one. 45 minutes total. Plus while watching TBL tonight I did some crunches.
Ive worked hard to drink my water today too. Lord knows that is so hard for me. I hate hate hate drinking plain water.

Breakfast- Cheddar Cheerio Snack Mix, 1 chicken nugget from McDs.

Snack- Banana

Lunch- 2 lean pocket breakfast things, and a fiber one bar.

Snack- Banana.

Dinner- lean pocket, handful of snack mix, and 1/2 a pk of corn nuts.

20 minutes of TBL and tons of walking while shopping today.

Today at Walmart I ran into my cousin. I havent seen her in a few months. The last time she saw me I had lost 39 lbs and she didnt even notice at all. Today Ive lost 51 and she noticed immediately. She said “WOW! You have really lost alot of weight!” I blushed and told her I had lost 51 lbs. Thats a NSV if you ask me.

Breakfast-1 cup Kashi Go Lean Crunch, 1 cup Raisin Bran, 1 cup 2% milk

Lunch- Apple, Lean Pocket, WW yogurt.

Dinner- Tendergrill Chicken Sand from BK, no sauce, ketchup, mustard, onion, tomato, lettuce, pickle. Apple.

Snack- Pineapples.

5 miles on exercise bike 16-22 mph in 20 minutes. -377 calories.

Today has been such a busy day. Shew Im pooped. I didnt get in bed til 2:30 this morning then was up at 7:15 with Bai and stayed up. I didnt end up going back to bed.

Once up I started cleaning the house. I worked in every single room, then went out and cleaned out the truck and vaccumed it out. Around 2 I took a shower and gave Dalton a bath. We picked Bai up from school, picked up Michaels check, went to the library to return some books and looked for biggest loser books but they didnt have any. After that we got gas and Michael stopped at the pet store. Bai wants a turtle! UGH! Bai and Dalton both really needed a hair cut but by the time we got to the barber shop it was closed. They arent suppose to close til 5 but had the closed sign up at 4:30. So we went on down to the next town over and tried to shop a little. I really needed some clothes. My bras were getting holes in them and so loose. The girls were down around my waist. lol. kidding. They arent that big. My panties were so baggy it looked like I was carrying a load, my jeans looked the same way. My shirts are all getting loose (but not as much as the rest) and they are worn out. I hate spending a penny on myself. I always see things we need around the house, the things the kids need, or Michael needs, even things the kids want. I really couldnt afford to buy anything new, but I was in rags. (maybe not rags, but old, faded, dingy, clothes).

We went to JcPenny first. Lord the boys were soooooo wild. I was ready to cry, cuss, or scream when we got out of there. I hate stores that dont have buggies. I got a new pair of running shoes (nike), and a pair of jeans there. I stopped by Cato and Fashion Bug, but I couldnt find anything that suited me. We went to Walmart to get groceries and I ended up getting a few more things there. Panties, Bras, Socks, 3 shirts.

When I started this journey I was in a 26 jeans. Today I bought 22s that were big on me. I tried on the 20s and they fit; but I dont like anything the least big snug on me. I got the 22s. Ill have to wear a belt with them before long though. I went down a size in panties and I still got the same size bra, but instead of snapping it on the last setting (of 4) I could snap it on the first set. I still got a 3x in shirts. Like I said, I cant do snug. Im just not a snug fitting person. When I started this I was in a tight 3x shirt. Just knowing that I couldnt find a shirt big enough to fit me at Walmart was enough to push me over the edge. So today I picked up 3x shirts, and they are loose, but thats the way I like them. I could have wore a 2x but I wouldnt have felt comfortable in them just yet.

I went around the whole time I was shopping pulling up my shorts. They would not stay on me. They are 24 W. They seriously are so loose. When I put on the 20s Michael was like WOW those look great. I originally tried on a 24, they were too big, a 22 was loose, and I went back a 3rd time and got a 2o. A good friend of ours was working and asked if I was shopping for myself. I said yeah, just have to keep coming back for smaller sizes. Now thats a good feeling!

We didnt get to do the grocery shopping. The boys were too wild. Hopefully they will be calmer tomorrow so I can get it done.

Breakfast- Banana, Diet Coke.

Snack- Fudge Pop (60 cal I think)

Lunch- Wheat thins (reduced fat), refried beans, salsa, 1/4 cup shredded 2% cheddar cheese, and a handful of grapes.

Snack- Dang whole wheat bagel and 1 tbsp skippy natural peanut butter.

Dinner- Large Salad. Lettuce, Tomato, Carrot, Cucumber, Deli sliced chicken breast, imitation bacon bits, salad toppings (garden veggies), 1/4 cup 2% cheddar cheese and South Beach Diet Ranch dressing. 4.5 chicken fries (baked).

6 miles on bike in 21.5 minutes. 20+ mph. 617 calories gone.

Tomorrow is my mini-goal weigh in. Wish me luck!

Oh.. yeah.. almost forgot my NSV!!! I went to my closet and pulled out a pair of jeans and put them on. I thought they were a different pair. They were real tight, but they buttoned and zipped. I kinda looked like a muffin. So I get aggrevated and pull them off. I look at the tag and then I am excited. They were a 20!!! I actually fit big arse into a 20. Granted they were tight, but they DID button and they DID zip!!!

Breakfast- banana and a slice of cantaloupe.

Lunch- 2 slices of lite wheat bread Natures Own, 2 slices of turkey, a slice of cheese, and mustard.  Diet peach tea.

Dinner- Pinto beans, sour kraut, healthy choice smoked sausage, 1 grands wheat reduced fat biscuit.

Snack- cereal bar and ww yogurt.

100 double leg lifts, 100 single leg lifts (each leg), 100 reverse crunches, 4 miles on exercise bike.

The scales dropped again this morning.  My official weigh in isnt until Monday but anyway.. today they said Im down 35 lbs!! WOO HOO!

I tried on a pair of levi shorts that I had in the closet. I love them but when I tried them on at the begining of summer I couldnt even get them to button. Not even close. Today I decided to try them on and they fit. I even had a few inches to spare. :)

Breakfast- South Beach Diet Bar and a Diet Dr Pepper.

Lunch- 2 c Raisin Bran, 2% milk, banana.

Dinner– Footlong club from subway. Ham, Turkey, Bacon, Pepperjack cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickle, onion, lite mayo and mustard. Diet Coke. 3/4 corn on the cob.

Snack- cantaloupe.  Diet peach tea.

I did 3 miles on the exercise bike today. 50 double leg lifts, 50 single leg lifts (each leg), 25 reverse crunches.

Every Wed evening we go out to get groceries and we always eat out. Michael and I have been having Subway, but we let the boys choose what they want. Bai wanted Lee’s so thats what they got. Chicken strips, biscuit, tater wedges, corn. OMG it smelled soooooo good. I could have inhaled it. BUT I didnt. I did eat 3/4 of the corn on the cob, but no fried chicken, no biscuit, no fried potatoes. Pretty good if you ask me.

When we went to Subway and sat in the booth, I fit. No trouble at all, with inches to spare. It felt great!

I first started doing the crunches and double leg lifts a few weeks ago. Michael convinced me to do them. The first day after I did them I thought I would die. My stomach felt like the burning pits of hell. I struggled to do 40 double leg lifts and 40 crunches. I really didnt think I would be able to make it through. Now, its easy. I bumped the double leg lifts to 50. I only did 25 crunches because I was lazy. Not because I couldnt. Sad I know. I really need to break that habit. 

I hopped on the scales this morning, they were down. 2 lbs down! I was sooo happy. I just hope it wasnt a fluke. I really need to kick my butt into high speed or I will NEVER make my goal. I need to lose 4 more lbs by Sept 9. 

Ive been taking the antibiotics, but I am still spotting. More like ragging on the next to last day of your period. The first 5 days it was nothing. Just when I went to the bathroom, I would notice it, not now. Now I definately have to wear something. Just ticks me off. So Ive been ‘ragging’ I guess you could say for 15 days this month. Just aggrevates me. WTF is going on?

 Wheather you can do something or not, its in your head. Mental management– TLC.

Cholesterol Update

The nurse from the HD called yesterday to tell me that I didnt have to come in for a follow up appt about my cholesterol that there are only 2 results.. normal and abnormal. Mine was abnormal because it was a little low at 118.

July 17th, 2007

Im down 2 more lbs today. Its hard for me to weigh everyday. I get too upset if the scales dont move but I know its the weekly weigh in that really counts.

So far Ive just had a banana this morning with a Diet Dr Pepper. I know I should have had water instead.

– For lunch I had a Michelina’s Lean Gourmet (meatloaf) 210 cal, 7g fat. A little more fat than I hoped. :(  I also had a WW yogurt.

 I did 5 miles, yes count them.. 1, 2, 3 , 4 , 5 Miles on the exercise bike today!!!! Im so proud. You know what? Im not dead! lol. I did 100 curls on each arm too.

 I had a major NSV today. I went to Moms and she had fixed fried ‘taters, corn meal gravy, and cornbread.  Mom and Dad kept asking me to eat but I wouldnt. I stayed down there about 2 hours and didnt eat the first bite. Im so proud of myself. I have a major weakness for fried ‘taters.

I had some banana chips (not the best choice) and some raisins for a snack  between lunch and dinner. Then for dinner I had a chicken sand on wheat bread, tom, onion, and mustard.  Michael had to work late so I just cooked for the boys.

Ill have some watermelon later as well.

School Shopping

July 13th, 2007

Michael was off today and we had to go school shopping for Bailey. I had a fig bar (3 grams of fat) and a diet coke for breakfast.  I know I should have had something else but I was in a hurry.  I was in a hurry so I only did a mile on the bike before we left.

I had a grilled chicken sand with tomato, lettuce, mustard at BK. I told them to hold the mayo and they said it had honey mustard so I said hold that and give me plain mustard. No cheese or anything.

We shopped for 5 hours or more. We walked and walked and walked. lol. So I know I burned a few calories.

On the way home I had a few bites of some shredded deli roast beef that Michael bought. No bread or anything. Just the meat and some grapes. I was starved out from all that shopping. Came home and put away all of our stuff and cleaned the house up some. Finally had a sec to sit down and eat a bite. I ate a bowl of chili and some fat free crackers.

Overall I think Ive done pretty good today. Im gonna do the bike more later tonight.

I bought some Weight Watchers scales and I love them. They say I weigh 4 lbs less than Moms did. lol. But its been a few days since I was at Moms and I have been working my  butt off.  That was this afternoon after Ive ate all day and fully clothed. Im gonna weigh again tomorrow in the morning before eating or anything.

I had a couple of NSVs today. The first being that I went to BK and didnt get my favorite thing.. a whopper with cheese and onion rings. I had the grilled chicken instead. Then we were at Walmart and they had the Ranch pretzel bites. OMG they are like my favorite thing on the planet to binge on. I can eat an entire bag. I read the label and it was 60 grams of fat for the entire bag. 6 grams per serving and I would have at the entire bag in a day or less. Im sooo glad I put them back.

– Did 2 more miles on the bike late last night and had some strawberries as a late night snack.
